Its now been 3 months since my laser eye surgery.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole experience has been fantastic, the best thing I've ever done and the best money I have ever spent.
I worried for years about 'getting it done' because 'its my eyes' and you only get one pair.
I wish I'd done it years ago and have had the benefits of a contact lens and glasses free life when i was a little younger.
I opted for lasik, wavefront, intralase surgery - it cost me £2500. I wasn't lucky enough to get hold of any vouchers so thats why I want to pass on my vouchers that i have received since having mine done.
I have vouchers that give you £150 off surgery if you book surgery by the 13th september 2010 and have it done by the 27th september 2010. You have to take these along with you.
If you want some vouchers, please contact me through pm and Ill post them out first class the same day.
If you want a chat about my experiences too - please contact me.0 -

Hello,
I have not seen this mentioned on here as a cost saving tip - I signed up to a healthcare company called Healthshield (like Westfield), who pay out the Optical payment for Laser Eye Surgery - this was the only company I could find who do this, as Westfield do not. I joined through work and claimed immediate benefit (it is normally 13 weeks). I was on the top tier and they paid out £270, which paid for my deposit. http://www.healthshield.co.uk
I had my Laser Eye Surgery done a month ago tomorrow at Optical Express at Meadowhall, Sheffield. I had 20/20 vision the next day, although a bit blurred and hazy, but could still see it. My Wife has just had new glasses and I have better vision than she has, although my eyes are still dry - you get free unlimited Blink eye drops to put in (artificial tears).
I am such a wuss and hate needles, but it was really like people say - there was no pain whilst it was being done. My eyes did stream after. Once I had taken the next set of drops they provide I went to sleep, but only for an hour. Once I woke up the streaming had stopped!0 -

I am told that no one will do laser surgery on me as I am virtually blind in one eye and they will not risk surgery on my good eye. This susprises me as they do both eyes together and what about the risk of both eyes going wrong.
Has anybody here been in a similar position found anywhere that will do the surgery?
