I have reinstalled my Sp1 copy of xp.I missed the activation out to come back to it later.I note that in system tools I can't see 'activate' in there.
1.Is their somewhere on the microsoft website where I can re-activate now i.e a direct link?
2.Can I go straight to get Sp2 copy and updates now without re-activating?
Help appreciated

1. You'll get plenty of reminders to activate. There will be a nag-pop up in your system tray (near the clock) every 5 or so minutes ("remind me every few days" - yeah, right!)
2. Not from Microsofts website - you can't get updates with an un-activated version of Windows.
Hope this helps.Women priests. Great. Now there's priests of both sexes I don't listen to - Bill Hicks.0 -

Ring Microsoft Support.
Perhaps you don't need to re-activate it!0 -

As Maforduk says it sounds like you do not need to reactivate. Go for the SP2 update - it will soon tell you if you do.
If you do then, according to the MS help and support centre, you can open the Windows Product Activation Wizard by clicking Start, then Run, and then typing "oobe/msoobe /a".0 -
