    Is that work-related, HJ? ;):p:D

Erm... I did all my work first Miss and I am knitting a jumper for OH/the Boss so he can't complain really. :D;):p
  • Evening, everyone :) It's been a really busy day at work, which is good as it keeps the mind occupied! Thought I'd dive on here while tea is cooking, and have a bit of a catch-up session while curry bubbles on the hob. I've planned another fruiting trip this weekend, so my os-iness is permeating more into my life, which is nice. I keep eyeing this or that patch of elderberries or blackberries on my way to work :D

Tea is, tonight (differing from my mealplan thanks to non-successful recipe), curry. Nice and tasty, and should be just the thing to take my mind off my grumpiness. I'll be honest; I drink FAR too much fizzy cola and other pop. I thought I'd go the whole day without and I'm really grumpy without that extra sugar. I try to think of the positive effect on my waistline and my teeth, but gah it is such hard work! Poor DH, I'll have to give him extra cuddles later, bless him. Later this evening I'll plan the shopping list for tomorrow, and try to catch up on my cross-stitch. I'm on page seven of nine, so still a long way to go! Then I can start on my list of Christmas presents I'm making for people. :D

    Evening all

Goodness I'm not here for a week and there's lots of lovely newbies - welcome to you :)

Tru the rest are lying - we ARE all jealous - sounds fabulous!

Trying day at w*rk - still i'm off most of next week. When I got in dd(12) begged for baked camembert and as it only takes 15 minutes I charmingly agreed - mmmmmm so yummy - drizzled with honey and pecan nuts and loads of crusty bread.

dd(12) has expressed an interest in meeting Mr Potential - not sure I'm ready for that tbh but she's 13 tomorrow so who knows when she'll be interested in anything in my life again. Now all I have to do is think of something interesting for 8 and 13yo girls and a 4yo boy as he'll have his dd and I'll have dgs.

dgs(4) started big school today - very new for him as he didn't get into the school that he was at nursery in last year

    anyhoo have good evenings

  • Evening all

I have had a busy day at work, I'm a youth worker, and the teenagers I work with have been running an activity day for younger school children in local country park, so I've been running round playing games all day!

I walked to work for the first time today too :) it's just under a 20min stroll, and is quite a nice especially in the sun, but I don't think I'll be able to do it when it's dark as it's quite a lonely walk for the 2nd half. I may start cycling though, after my successful bike ride by the sea yesterday, but I need to get some lights first. I can cycle along the road so it's not lonely, but there is no pavement so can't wak it.

When I got home I made a big pot of cheese and potato pie for tea tonight and have leftovers for another meal.

I've also prepped all the ingredients for my first SC meal - leek and potato soup - which will go on tonight (I'm on Economy7).

I'm on a course for next 2 day in city an hour commute away so I'm glad that I'll have meals ready made for me to come home to :)

Enjoy the rest of the evening

    Evening everyone

The bad news is that after a few phonecalls and a lot of working out the suite that i liked will not fit through the door into the living room
The good news is that i won`t stretch the suite pot and rob Peter to pay Paul so to speak so i suppose that really it`s a blessing in disguise, i`ll probably not see another that i like for a long time but never mind.

My living room is like a new pin as it`s all clean and shiny - the houndies and DH will be home later so it won`t last long, there will be fishing tackle and bits and bobs all over the place so i shall shut my eyes to it so that i don`t nag....................much

I`ve made a decent start on my cupboards putting things into baskets so that they are easier to handle and when DH gets back i shall send him into the garage for the roll of old lining paper that is in there and i can use it to line the shelves with tomorrow.

I`ve also reboiled my bramble and apple jelly which didn`t set when i made it and all the jars have just sealed again :j hope it sets this time, i really need to get a jam thermometer but i just keep forgetting until i come to need one :o

I`m off to visit DSis shortly as i need to pick up some jars that she has saved for me and then i need to rummage around in the freezer and find things hidden in the depths that i need for tomorrow - i may be some time :D

Have a good evening everyone - keep warm, it`s really windy outside BRRRR!

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Evening all, late on today, but wanted to thank all those who posted their good wishes for our 34th anniversary on Sunday. You are so kind.We had a lovely curry on Saturday, persuaded our friends to go out too ( best man and bridesmaid all those years ago, lol)and on Sunday went to a classic car show a few miles away. The weather was good so we drove with the top down on the old jalopy, then returned home to slow cooked gammon and a nice bottle of wine.

Today I've been making a big batch of bolognaise sauce, and frozen half.DS1 had 2 big helpings,he got back from France late last night, think he must have missed out on some meals while away.He had a great time though.

DH brought me a 'present' home today-a big bag of elderberries which I've made into syrup so it can ward off coughs and colds this winter, hopefully!
The kitchen looked a bit gruesome though.

Right, off for a cuppa, hugs to those who need one, hope everyone has a good nights sleep.x

  • Good evening all. Just popping in for a quick read through today's thread. With the new furbaby, Buttons, in our home, I feel like a mummy with toddler who is into everything. I'm very tired trying to keep up with them both. Thankfully Bree likes Buttons more often than she dislikes her. :T

I'm not confident enough to leave them on their own together yet. Buttons is huge compared to Bree and doesn't realize her own size much of the time. I've not been anywhere except the big park around the corner since last Thursday. DH is off work tomorrow so out we all shall go. :D

Washing is caught up and just a few bits to iron. The dishes from tea keep calling me to come wash them. I'm trying to ignore them for a bit longer though. ;) Will have a quick tidy and then a shower and off to bed.

Lots of ((((((((((((((((Gentle Hugs)))))))))))))))) to all who want/need them.

    Peyton xx
