That's right, that's the idea, because it's not an: Introductory Offers/Freebets/Reloads/Cashbacks/Promotions/Bonuses/Incentives/Competitions, it's general discussion, ideas, chat, questions.
Precisely, that's also the exact point, people only interested in the offers will not see them because they are only interested in the offers - and do not care/want to respond to them.
It is not a sub forum, just two Forums, full stop. None better than the other, it's just your preference.
And with that, like Mariner13, I'm going to bow out. I'm not intending to get into a slanging match with someone who contributes to this forum, I've stated my disagreement and why I don't think it's a good idea. I've tried to do it in as clear a manner and addressing the points - maybe prose isn't my strong point - but from TT's responses it appears that I am simply coming across as obtuse.
Well you've stated your point as best you can and I've answered them. I thank you sincerely for your contributions, I'm reading them all and taking notes along the way.

I don't think that I have ever witnessed anything like this before in my time on GIOL. It is like a mantra being hammered home continually all day. It is mind bending. Anybody who asks a question is given the same response - a copy of the original post. I am sick sick sick of seeing that first post. And built into that response is the thinly disguised attitude that it's all been very clearly explained before, and you must be clueless not to see it.
Maybe there is some merit in the idea and there are some who have indicated support - I find it amusing that TT includes in the 'support' people who haven't posted! That is presumptuous.
But it's the relentless hammer, hammer, hammer, bash, bash, bash that I find objectionable. TT you have been at it continuously all day non-stop and I guess you will be at it still when we arrive back here tomorrow morning.
I think you should be seconded to Belmarsh or Guantanamo Bay.0 -

Hi schiff, Thanks for posting. It made me giggle a bit, LOL!
All I do is answer the questions or points put to me as concisely as I can. I do think too that not only is there some merit in it, but that it's a great idea, hence my enthusiasm.
There will always be those who pass a post and think, "hmm good idea but sorry too busy to reply...."
I'm still here now, hehe.0 -
And I know I shall get the usual comment that my views are kindly received, and thank you for posting, plus a few :beer::beer:
Which I really don't deserve, and more to the point don't want. It's nauseating.0 -

It is well beyond enthusiasm mate - it's manic obsession, frantic fervour, a fervid craze, unstinting passion - take your pick. Faced with your relentless barrage any terrorist would confess to anything you suggested.
By the way I'm not in favour of any changes, I thought I'd let you know this now, in case of any doubt.0 -

It's ok, I never said that you were in favour of any changes.

I'm another one for keeping things as they are :
It is not as hard to find the good stuff on here as Tartan is making out ....And to be quite honest ,if you can't navigate around a money saving web site then surely you have failed one of the fundamental criteria for risking real money on-line.
I have to admit I don't use this site as much as I used to , but that has less to do with the accesability of the site and more to do with the risk averse nature of GIOL ..
....It seems I have drifted over to the dark side
My opinion is that Tartan , you will not change the GIOL as it really has produced such consistently good ,long term results for so many match betters It is not a case of " Not broke" ....It is something that is working fantastically.....
It is the only site I know that is focused entirely on the noob ...constantly concerned for the risk of all involved ....It is a bit claustrophobic for me now ..but I still believe it is worth defending ...It made me the match better I am today0 -

It's not hard, just very messy, jumbled, cluttered, mazish if you will, too.
I can navigate it. I am very competent at accruing money online.

I said previously:
MSE is world reknowned, it has the members, the numbers, the community, and therefore the info & input necessary to make it all worthwhile - GIOL only needs is some fine tweaking to make it perfect for all our MB'ing careers.
It is the only site I know that is focused entirely on the noob ...constantly concerned for the risk of all involved ....It is a bit claustrophobic for me now ..but I still believe it is worth defending ...It made me the match better I am today
Don't get me wrong, I love MSE, really, I just want to make it better. Cheers, TT:beer:0 -
