Greenbee did you send me an email on yahoo( I haven't used it in months)? If you did I deleted it before I relised it wasn't a free cycle one.
Not as far as I'm aware... mind you, I haven't checked my yahoo account for ages, so I suppose I should go and have a look at it!
You could just not read the thread Helen and just post your list no one will mind some people don't keep up with the thread they post though. Don't go just because of that we'll miss you just post and run.

Like lots of people... I go through phases where I keep up, and phases where I don't - when I'm busy I look for certain people's posts who I know will fill me in on the important stuff!

Greenbee - why are you shipping a dresser and dining table? Are you actually leaving the country with this new gig you've got? You could hire a van, go to a weighbridge, weigh the empty van, put the furniture in it then go back and weigh the van again. Deduct the initial empty van weight and voila. Though that's a tad complicated! Ahh - I see you answered Rosep's question. Why not just ask a man and van for a quote regardless of weight?
I estimated the weight, and made this clear in the request. I have two quotes so far, so hopefully I can get it all sorted on Friday!!!

Good luck with the form-filling Soappie

Went to a local meeting about waste/recycling. Only about half a dozen people showed up  Why is everyone so apathetic (mind you, the councillor didn't exactly strike me as particularly dynamic  and was on the defensive the whole time!)?? Our recycling rates are atrocious, but all questions/suggestions were met with defensive answers rather than constructive ones. I did have a useful conversation with someone at the end, but it seemed that they weren't prepared for the educated and interested audience that they got (who else do they expect to turn up to these things) but were aiming at the lowest common denominator... consequently most of us in the audience knew more about it than they did!

Suppose I should get myself organised for the morning. I need to leave here at 7.30 to drop off my car, and have my Italian course, ipod, headphones (no idea where they are :o), spare car key and form for a new railcard with me. I also need to work out what to wear as it may well be raining and I will have to walk from the garage to the station (30 mins) and then from the station to the training venue (20 mins) and back again... I really hope it stays dry!!

I suppose I should go and put my fireplace back together too...
