Yes the picture is better. But you only get limited HD channels with Virgin unless your on the XL package. Extra charges of course

Actually there are 6 HD channels on Virginmedia
BBC HD (Channel number 108)
Living HD which will be on Channel 110 soon.
Channel Four HD (Channel 146)
FX HD (Channel 158)
MTVN HD (Channel 310)
National Geographic (Channel 232)
ESPN HD (Channel 530)
No sign of Virgin HD yet maybe in the near future and no Sky1 HD on virgin yet.0
