I recently took out a Virgin Media contract, having television, telephone & the Broadband.
Is it me, or does HD on Virgin Media look the same as normal television?

I've just tried it and the quality is clearer than standard television. Tell me, is Sky HD better than Virgin HD, or are they both the same?0 -

I have to agree with Moneybuster, it is different.
Have you tried all of the HD channels?
The Proms on Saturday night was particularlly good. If watching BBC HD the studio shots are always far better than SD. Try switching between HD & SD to see the difference.
However if you have not seen HD before it is not a huge leap in faith. Not like it was when going from black and white to colour. (yes I'm old enought to remember it  )
Sorry I've never seen HD on Sky so can't comment.0 -

Where are you sitting ? You need to sit much closer to the TV for HD. About 1.5 times the diagonal measurement of the TV screen.
Is your TV HD ?0 -
Not sure about the V+ box but the Sky box has both Scart and HDMI connections. Scart can not show a HD picture. Does V+ have the same connections and are you watching through scart by mistake?0

try a web site like AV forum and get the settings for your TV and the set top box there are setting in the V+ you can alter but it is a combination of both setting on TV and set top box. like virgin only send a signal in 1080 wide or somthing like that, it was so long ago when i set it up.
