What is rude about quoting the obvious, if he is anything like you, "(!!!!!!)", then he is probably the rude one.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
now now children, remember the MSE motto "be nice to all moneysavers" or the board guides (aka fun police) will lock the thread0

because not everyone has the option to do a job they like. sometimes you just have to do the job that fits around your family life, and brings in some money

Kind of puts your statement into a cocked hat :rotfl:Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
oops thanked you by mistake, stop being a smart !!!!
Correction he enjoys meeting nice people but like every job he hates some parts of it.
And yes the other poster makes a good point, it is not his ideal job but it does bring in the money and jobs are hard to come by nowadays.0 -
I'm sure you would be grateful for him when rolling out the pub at silly o clock0

sorry OP gone right off track0

I was nice , I was tipsy , I had a son in the car who was getting upset by the whole situation . It was in waverly and the firm was rubbish . I didnt book the cab but I was the hirer. Therefore the price should have been agreed with me . I wasnt refusing to pay just disputing the amount.
In that case it would be a civil offence.
making off without payment , legging it , being abusinve are all criminal offences. i know i work for the fuzz. Hense being placed on the spot. The driver knew we were not from round there neither was he we had to direct him .
You expect a minimum service , one that does not include a dangerous driver , using one hand and sometimes none. I dont expect to give the driver directions. That is his job to know the way ..ONE HOUSE , DS+ DD Missymoo Living a day at a time and getting through this mess you have created. One day life will have no choice but to be nice to me :rotfl:0 -
Nice web site your firm has, looking at where you are what would you say if a punter wanted to be picked up at Tame Lane in Denshaw and be taken to Ogden Lane in Milnrow?
Yes we would
That’s the same sort of distances that the OP trip was, would you do that on the meter starting when you got to Denshaw?
Thats exactly what we would do. But we'd send the nearest driver, as its 8.5 miles from our office for that journey but it'd still be metered we'd just ask the customer if they don't mind waiting and give a rough estimate timewise, because we'd be able to tell how long it would be by where our vehicles are now and where they are going iyswim.
Speaking to the LA licensing officer is pointless (apart from maybe the mobile phone bit) as the law doesn’t allow them to set or regulate PH fares.[/QUOTE]
In Tameside they do. At my place it can be the same price as hackney but we charge slightly less, it can't be more than what Tameside have set though.0
