To the owner of Buddy Jingles... lol!!
Actually, I really think we should somehow put a link to (or have some easy guide to) our MSE names..it's all confusing without having to scan through pages of this thread... any ideas how to make it easier???
Anyway, can I pinch your idea of the elves arriving with a dog pleease?
Have seen an aurora border collie with a santa hat on ebay who is adorable. We got our puppy in April this year and think my two would love it (although ours is a different colour!!)
That's me lol!
It's so funny you should say that, I was having the same problem so I created a list on Word of people's MSE names and their elves that I can refer to, how elf obsessed am I lol:rotfl:
I don't mind putting it on a new thread? Though there are probably people who are better at it than me, like yummy-mummy-amy!
You're welcome to use the pet dog idea, I'm sure it's probably been done before and isn't original!:)0 -
Hi all
Getting close now...have got a spreadsheet of what's happening on each day...how organised? Totally unlike me!
But.... I've just discovered that the passport I'd created is gone :-(
Corrupt file! Now can't find the original template I used...can anyone help??

hi
when do people's elves arrive?
the last few years ours have arrived after halloween or after bonfire night -- but they have not arrived this year as i am working loads and not had chance to get into the attic...
ours 3 are called jingle, belle and mistletoe...
the kids are talking about them every day now, and keep remembering things the elves have got up to in previous years - i can't believe how much they remember as they were only 2 and 3 the first year we had the elves come to visit us.
i had better get up in the attic and find them..

Elvis always arrives on the 1st of December with the kids advent calenders. He stays until Christmas eve morning when he leaves the kids a xmas eve hamper with pj's, a dvd, a book and popcorn. then he goes under the xmas tree to leave and go and help Santa deliver presents.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0

Ours will be arriving on 1st Dec with the advent calendars and leaving with Father Christmas on Christmas Eve0

Sunny and Jolly fluffy paws are arriving on the 1st December, they are bringing the kids advent calenders, the happy little elf dvd and a bar of that elf chocolate (they are only 10 or 15p or something). My mum is knitting them a pillow and a sleeping bag each. I found a fabulous notebook in TK Maxx on Saturday, the cover of it is covered in white glittery bits, it looks like snow.
I have got loads of activity packs in The Works for £1.99 each.
So far our activities are:
1) Colour Christmas pictures
2) decorate tree baubles
3) make paper chains
4) salt dough decorations
5) ice Christmas biscuits
6) toilet roll snowmen
7) santa trail at donegore
8) candy cane treasure hunt
9) orange/apples and cloves
10) Christmas cards
11) handprint wreath
12) pine cone Christmas tree
13) paper plate snowmen
14) Christmas movie
15) Snow Globes
16) No cook fudge
17) Rudolph hand and foot picture
18) foam Christmas trees
19) Paint salt dough decorations
20) paint foam christmas baubles
21) make christmas crackers
22) make foam angels
23) paint a santa cup and plate
24) soft play.
The foam things are those polystyrene (sp) things iykwim lol.
Im really struggling on how to get the elves to arrive tho.

thinking about it, how about starting a 2010 elf thread?
I don't mind starting one if someone wants to do it with me?
all elves names (as someone has already done I know) but with MSE'ers next to it and then do a list of ideas and links etc ...
We could combine all the ideas and links on the first page of the thread?
this is getting rather a long thread to trawl through now!
LOL yummy-mummy-amy I was referring to lexuslass' idea, I remembered it was you who did the list of us on facebook!
I have finished our 'guest' elf Gingerbread Cookie, she is a friend of Holly's who will be visiting for a few days each year to make mince pies, decorate gingerbread men with the kids etc. I've set her up on facebook and will make some friend requests soon! For those of you trying to set your elf up with facebook but it won't accept the name and you don't want to change it, try adding 'Elf' at the end. It wouldn't accept Cookie as a surname, but did when I put Cookie Elf.0
