Ahhh on my very own site Mitchaa....when ever I appear, it all goes to pot and sexual innuendo abounds (I'm admin so can do what I want!)

Also some chat rooms (sports related ones), which is pretty close to the real me but not quite there.

I am also known as the rule knower on another site for the particular sport I am interested in, so people will ask me for advice on what is and isn't allowed.

In real life, I am very very naughty with an incredibly dirty laugh:rotfl:
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

That's it Sue, I've found you....(Do you do discounts for MSE regulars ;) )

Only kidding, but highlights the point i was trying to make about revealing too much info. Simple websearch of someones username can reveal a LOT of info about that person :)

I guess there is all the talk of alternate egos - both people with one log on being a different personality to real life and also all the multiple user name thing (I have no idea if this is just banter or it is actually the case and deliberately don't care).

I was just wondering, when people post as someone else, in either of these ways, why they do it - do some people really care so much about whether anyone else agrees with them that they need to invent a second user name just to have some one who does?

Lol not me......but blimey do I wish I looked as good as that!
All that is under my name on here is MSE stuff, a bit more under my usual name on another site but again just site related.

I fudge things enough to not give out too much including changing date of birth, location etc.

I agree, I've never found the point in using 2nd AE accounts.

Im regularly accused of being Hamish just because Im Scottish:rotfl:Our postings are nothing alike and frankly what I have to say for myself comes from under my own username as im not the type to hide and shy away from anything.

At the end of the day we're all anonymous anyway, I dont know anyone personally on these boards and its very unlikely I ever will do hence why I have 1 account only.

Im only Mitchaa on this site for obvious reasons. It would be so easy typing a username into google and finding out a hell of a lot about that person even down to their personal addresses/work places, what they're doing, when they're off on holiday etc etc.

I know of several someones who have had their online life bite them on the backside because they have been careless with usernames. Depends on what exactly you are doing online obviously.

Hate someone at work? Check their MySpace or similar. Do they have a web page? What forums are they on? How much did their house cost?

    Get stalking. Get even.

Er. This is what could happen, not saying I do it.

    Much.
