  • I'd do a rice, chorizo and tinned tomato all in one dish, extra water to cook the rice and you get tomato and chorizo flavoured rice and sauce. I often do that with sausages.

Patatas Bravas if you want to sound posh is cooked and fried chunks of potatoes, add cooked chunks of chorizo, stir in some tinned tomatoes, mozzarella on the top and bake.

  • Rigth, read that again, fried pots, fried chozio, tinned toms, swirl and bake with moz.

Whoop! I have onions as well, will add some of those. Will fry pots and onions together, with skins on. Thanks, great idea!

Mmm the potato bravas sounds nice! I love Chorizo so I might have to write some of these suggestions down!

Lou, the £40 is obviously karma in action! I found £60 once, I mentioned it on another forum and everyone accused me of being a thief! If it had been a wallet I would have handed it in, but just random cash, you can't find the owner, so there's nothing you can do. And it's come at just the right time for you, as did mine. Maybe 'someone' is rewarding your hubby for the weight loss!

It's all change here - I've just ordered a new sofa and bed, £256 altogether, so well within the budget from the grant I got. The only problem is that the sofa's 'natural', so very light, so I'll have to get some covers for it since I shake and twitch so much it'll be ruined within a week with spilled coffee and food. I wanted one from a small independent place someone on here recommended, but as I don't have a credit card I just daren't risk it, so tesco it was. Being delivered in a couple of weeks (could have been the 16th!) so I've got time to get rid of the old sofa first. It's going to a furniture charity. Then when dad gets the shelves and everything up the flat'll finally be sorted and somewhere I want to spend time in, for the first time since I moved in three years ago!

I need some sunglasses though, not used to the bright whiteness of the kitchen!

Yeah, that's the plan. In fact, my sister's got a couple that she offered me, I'll take her up on that offer!

And I've got clubcard points, which are worth four times as much for open uni courses, so that's given me £20 for that.

    1. Lose 12lbs
    2. Train for half marathon
    3. Study for exams....

I wasn't gonna say anything on here cos I am crap at sticking to things. but given what you have all been talking about I have come out and said it...so there...
