Building society account, can you close it and open another? that'll stop it if you don't lose out in the process.0

When I pay someone using Internet banking I delete the details immediately after the transaction has gone thru; I only keep the details of close family members live.0

It's quite ridiculous for B&B to claim they can't identify the account this money is coming from. If there was a suspicion of money laundering and the police issued a warrant they would cough up the info PDQ !!0

Has it only started since June when abbey took the accounts over?I have a deep burning indifference0

I am pretty sure B&B could give you the sort code of where the money is coming from as that wouldnt be a DPA breach as wouldn't identify the person. You or maybe B&B (when their Customer Service kicks in) could then write to the bank that 'owns' that sort code and ask them to contact their customer that is sending money to your account details. I am sure that customer that has made the mistake will want to resolve it quickly.Hope that suggestion helps.0
