  • Blimey my head feels like it is going to explode

So if I get JSA then I only pay £5 a month correct or wrong? because my income is only going to be whatever crappy JSA pays, lol

If not and your reply may well be thats if the income is over £100 its wont matter being on JSA then they need to reassess my ex's as she also gets CA but also gets £200+ a week CTC, is this correct pleassssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee............ lol
  • I keep putting any amount in my weekly figure have even put in 1000 lol and it still comes up with £5

    Why cant things be simple
  • I think I've got it, lol

If the non-resident parent is currently paying the flat rate or the nil rate but they have other weekly income of more than £100 that we would normally take account of. However, this does not apply if the non-resident parent is paying the flat rate because they are getting Income Support or income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, or they are paying the nil rate because their income is less than £5 a week.

Basically if I get JSA Income Based I will still pay £5 a month regardless of what my new partner gets!! Then it will change once I start work, so I can claim her Carers Allowance but they may still take into account her CTC which I do no believe is fair given the fact she has disabled children, but CSA dont give a toss, so my best option is until work is found to claim JSA

Phewww think I am right finally after alot of reading, lol

Not 100% sure the claim would start as income based?

There is income based and contribution based JSA. Depending your circumstances you might get contribution based. Have a google.

If OP patner has been out of work for a while then there is a high chance that JSA (conts based) won't apply and if OP works, they won't get any JSA (IB) either so the flat rate won't necessarily apply either - depending on the amount of the CTC.

    op?? original poster??

I have been out of work for 6 weeks if you are referring to me so JSA I can claim i do not work either, hence me asking what is taken into account and about my SE and JSA on a different thread

I spoke to a CSA Senior Manager today who told me that if I claim Income Based JSA which I will be eligble to do so, then I will have to pay £5 a week whether or not my household income is £500 or £5000

Thanks for all your replies left
