    I don't have a timepiece, I have a watch.

    But old Will has a view on it.

    When I do count the clock that tells the time,
    And see the brave day sunk in hideous night;
    When I behold the violet past prime,
    And sable curls all silvered o'er with white;
    When lofty trees I see barren of leaves
    Which erst from heat did canopy the herd,
    And summer's green all girded up in sheaves
    Borne on the bier with white and bristly beard,
    Then of thy beauty do I question make
    That thou among the wastes of time must go,
    Since sweets and beauties do themselves forsake
    And die as fast as they see others grow;
    And nothing 'gainst Time's scythe can make defence
    Save breed, to brave him when he takes thee hence.

    Max

    Been busy with real life today and only just seen the news. So thrilled for you. I really hope it turns out to be as pleasant a place to work (and team to work with) as it looks so far.

    Well done!

    Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
    Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
    Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
  • I'm so sorry, when I saw your name was Geeves I assumed you were a chap.

    Please disregard all previous watch advice, women don't seem to have that gene. :D

    Ha ha really? So all the times I've posted on you other thread, you've thought I was a bloke?

    I thought the little congratulatory kiss, at the end of my earlier post, gave me away as being a girl?

    One of the reasons I never needed one was my mother taught me to tell the approx time by the position of the sun in the sky when I was a kid.

    Not a very useful skill when it's cloudy but impressive on a sunny day and a stranger asks you the time. I just look up to the sky. Usually correct within 20 mins.

    Max are you going to bump the original thread and give it a final post?

    I appeal to a broad church, ahem. :D

    Hmmm... that's a thought I guess. Feel a bit self congratulatory bumping it myself though. :o

    Anyone else wants to give it a push feel free. :)

    I did it already (I think I got the right thread).

    Now it's Max's turn.
