Right, first of all, uncomfortable footwear is a woman thing. Don't know why all you women do it, but "It was really uncomfortable in the shop but it looks good, so I bought it." is not something men say. Any man's shoes that are uncomfortable in the shop do not sell well - after all any shoe that looks good, can be made comfortable to wear.
So, what you need to do, is next time you're in a shoe shop is to go to the men's section, and look at the "less masculine" men's shoes. They do exist, they're not something I'd buy, but they are comfortable (according to XOH at least) and they don't look like blokes' boots.
Simple really.
Seems like a good idea, except have you ever tried buying gents shoes in a size 3/4?! I only own one pair of *truly* uncomfortable shoes - and in honesty they are fabulous and were (oh the shame!) bought more to look at than to wear!
I don't think it's the shoes fault either - I have very odd feet and they are rarely comfortable in anything! :-(🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Only when I was very much younger. My feet are somewhat larger now.
You can rest assured that when my feet were size 3/4 - I did not wear women's shoes..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Thanks for the good wishes, folks - my lurgy is still making its presence felt, so I'm not going out tonight with my friends - tho one couple has cancelled cos of lurginess and the people hosting it had their car break down on them just after the cross channel ferry, so they're struggling a bit too ... I've got a duvet on the sofa in front of the telly, and I shall be making full use of that tonight
I *was* off on a mum visit, as gill guessed - my sister collected me *and* brought me home, bless her, I'm really struggling with the lurgy. It also gave her a chance to bring mum here, and check out the alterations - the new floor in the office is very well laid, its a pleasure to look at2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Doing a bit of online shopping this morning - bootee slippers. I ordered 2 pairs from M&S before Christmas with that 10% discount code, but they only took for one pair
so I've just ordered another pair at full price, hey ho. Store collection not till next FRIDAY!!!
I've also bought a megatrain ticket for next march - before I do the Ely/travelodge thing, I'll go to my mum's, and London-Liverpool will cost me the princely sum of £1. I love the interweb2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sorry to hear you're not well KC
Hope you can look after yourself, relax and be fighting fit again for 2011. There is so much of it about, everyone I know has been affected.
Take care of yourself and hope you're feeling better soon xx0 -
Thanks macgirl - as soon as I know there's nowhere I have to be, I feel much better
I'm sure some of it is psychosomatic - doesn't make it any less real, everyone I speak to on the phone is sucking in their breath in horror at the sound of my voice
but I have some rejigging to do, for sure. Which is absolutely *all* about taking care of myself.
