Z's being norty again :rotfl:
We play board games, DT - at first we did really complex ones like Life or whatever its called, Therapy - nowadays its quite liable to be Pass the Pigs, Pit, the card game version of Monopoly, or my personal favourite, Chinese Chequers - my friend has an enamel board from her childhood in the 1950s, its really special
I'm just on here trying to muster up the energy to get a bath .... I have to do it soon enough so that I don't have to rush out immediately afterwards ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I love those sort of games but OH hates them it reminds him of boarding school. I am competitive though so I have to wait until the children grow up so that I can really try to win but the older ones still humour me occasionally and play wiht me - I think monopoly is my all time favourite not heard of the card version

Morning! Well, not quite ... we played Trivial Pursuit in the end, an edition from years and years ago, quite fun - but I lost my voice after a couple of hours, completely. Its come back this morning, and I slept well too.
The friend I visited is coming here on Friday - I give her peer supervision, a CPD necessity, so its got me going about getting the storage sorted again - as in the other house, I use people's visits to spur me to do things, and I'm very encouraged that I could have a social evening and not collapse, even tho my voice *did* collapse. Now that the little shelves I was working on are done, the pantry is next, so I emptied it out this morning. Jobs are:
1. chuck out the big (wide) shelf thats in the way of everything else.
2. clean the shelf supports - they are *disgusting*, thick black muck over them _pale_ its like that over a lot of bits of the house, I've never seen anything quite like it _pale_
3. get the two table leaves down into the kitchen - easy enough! - and saw off the leaf arms (I know what I mean, but I don't know what the actual name is!) also easy, then saw about four inches off the length of each one. And hey presto, new, solid wood, beautiful shelves, with an ancestral look, courtesy of Paddy's Market on the Dock Road in Liverpool :j:j:j
4. Pack in everything I can, so its accessible!
5. Un pack the two boxes in the bottom - I've labelled them "inessential kitchen items" so god knows whats in them :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Turfy! We crossposted - good to see you!
Just thought - got to check back at the stripey goal list I borrowed from Cheery, and see what happened - as she's teaching me, a goal list is important only if you use it2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
