That happened to my sister too, Pippajo :rotfl:  at least, it would have done if she hadn't put the branches in only seconds before she drove off with them, and luckily the trip to the tip wasn't very far either.

Well, here I am again - got more sleep last night by sleeping propped up, like a genuine Victorian melodrama protagonist :D quite effective. Tho more builder guys have turned up this morning to finish off putting the patio back together (I thought they'd done) and I felt quite deflated :(

So, supermarket delivery is arriving later, I might also see if I can talk to the local pharmacist about my lurgy. And apart from wandering about packing things away while the kettle's boiling (oh, and getting emails that suggest I *will* get that £140 bingo win :D) thats that....

Off for a quick canter round the diaries, and a lie down ....

Hope your house is back to normal soon.

Somebody, maybe se999 said something (gosh thats a ramble) about making yourself some quiet space, so even if its just a corner of your room that would be good.

My bedroom currently contains all the junk from the rest of the house, but my 'quiet space' is my nana's rocking chair. It's in a clutter free zone, with a little table for my book, a lamp, or maybe candles; and no matter what else is going on in the house, that is my bit of space.

Just throwing my two penn'orth in.

Oh now, **that** is a good idea. That, I can do, even pottering about and going to bed for an hour .... thank you! My nice Ikea armchair, one of those S shaped ones, will do the job nicely :)

I did it! I swept the floor thats visible from the chair, I organised the clutter thats visible from it, I cleared away the accounts and the green leaflets and the stored paper that would normally be on the desk (cos of the building work), I folded the clothes or threw them in the washing machine. And I put up the very first picture I've put up in this house, in a gorgeous ornate frame, a picture of the Buddha. Start, finally, as you mean to go on..... I even managed to get a bath and wash my hair, which has been difficult with being so exhausted. I'm suddenly *not* - I'm not well yet, but I'm certainly getting there, mostly thanks to the support on here. Thank you all!
