Ooh Pepe, what a lovely truck you have
:D:D
Actually, I really like the sound of that :rotfl:
Fay - yep, I thought "legses" was the most appropriate plural for "legs" :rotfl:
gill - yeah, thats what I used to think, leave them alone and they'll leave me alone. Then they started laying eggs inside the house, and once thats happened a few times, you tend (I tend) to get a bit intolerant - hundreds of little ones spreading out  spiders hatch a *lot* of eggs at once, you know! Its not good....
Anyway, on other fronts: checking through Martin's email today, found a voucher for the Odeon, a voucher for New Look (in HH, so I might as well check it out) and news that Santander do a top rate ISA for existing customers, so I'll definitely check that lot out, tho the Odeon thing only works if I'm travelling. Mind you, on Sunday, I've got free tickets to the National Home Improvement Show, which involves travelling, duh, so I might actually use the freebie up in London, and make a long day of it. I'll see.
Today, painting, sawing soundproofing, and Sainsbury - Fay, I was going to do the gardening thing for you today, but its throwing it down, not possible at the moment. I'll get the packaging ready, at least, and see if I can do it later.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sounds like a very practical sort of day
Thanks for mentioning the New Look voucher, they have some boots I quite like the look of.
We have loads of spiders too - I don't mind them apart from the really big ones! The cat likes chasing them though

Ug, its been raining all day, and the one set of time it wasn't, I had some paid work to do. I'll try tomorrow, Fay, its still raining now! I braved it to go off to Sainsbo, and got one of those chilled ready to cook stir fries, reduced to 10p! Very nice too .... sliced mushrooms for 10p, and bunched carrots for 10p.... I think I'll go again at that kind of time, 5 - 5.30. I spent just under £8, and seem to have got loads of food, v pleased.
The kitchen is also coming on - final coat on one wall, and I cleaned and put the first coat on the cooker wall. I'll have to stop for a while tho, that swollen clavicle is *really* hurting, I'm kind of immobilised with it (I'm not immobilised, it just hurts to move
).
Anyway, I've worked hard, and am v v tired now.
I need some support in the next few days, actually. One of the main reasons I moved to HH was to make it easier to get out and meet people, have friends locally - all my friends are at long distance, even the RL ones, let alone mse ones!
I want to go to that dance class on Friday, the line dance thing, but I'm already making excuses about why I shouldn't go. But I want to. I just want to give people advance notice that I'm chickening out already, and I want to go and I *should* go as well. Positive vibes, absolutely necessary. So tired I can't even write in proper sentences, I'm definitely going to bed soon... night night all.

KC - on Hypno's thread I mentioned about how it's easy for your 'envelope' of usual activities to shrink over time, and it needs a conscious effort to push the envelope back so that you can lead a fuller happier life. Mine had shrunk a bit too, so now I'm having to make the effort to do things outside the obvious comfort zone.
Hope you enjoy the line dancing, if you don't then try something else, there are lots of things to try, some you'll like and some you won't. But if you don't keep trying you won't find the fun ones

((((((((KC))))))))) sounds like you're tired duck! We'll make sure you get to line dancing (should that be where you want to go!) Just been to rock'n'roll myself, and I must say it was ok, but I've talked the folk I went with into our local fantabulous jive class instead next week

As for Daddy long legses - I remember the first time I went up to Fay country - on my own, with my bike, in a tent
Got into bed the first night - SO many bl**dy daddy long legses between tent and fly sheet! Just couldn't go to sleep with all the !!!!in buzzing and nonsense! Thought I'd go to Lidl for some cider and drink enough that I didn't care :rotfl: but it was already shut, so I ended up taking a sea sickness tablet, which made me drowsy enough to ignore them :rotfl:
(went to Lidl for cider the next day, slept really well for the rest of the week! :rotfl:)0 -
Thanks you guys... I'm all right, honestly, I'm just tired, its true - both of you make good points - even tho I've been a loner, I *have* narrowed down over the last 10 years or so .... Cheery, the line dancing is fortnightly cos the other week I'm in London, and its only ten minutes walk away, and its that whole thing about dancing the same dance - a la Saturday Night Fever, or the SF discos I mentioned a fortnight ago - I love that stuff. Oh look, I'm typing whole sentences again! Okay, thats persuaded me, I'm going.
Thank you!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm sure you'll feel great once you put your foot over the door and will really enjoy it.0
