Hiya! Not yet Daffs - I've posted on a couple of threads, Fay's for sure, but not mine own
I got going on little bits that needed finishing, finally taped up those two boxes that have been sitting there, had the washing machine on all day, had a fair bit of paid work to attend to....
Packers are coming round on Tuesday, move is on Wednesday.... bit scared about getting it all done now - I'm *sure* I've never cleaned like this before :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks Fay - yep, getting scared now  all the washing is done and draped all over the house, tidying up so we can find ourselves and not be tripping over all the stuff that was strewn all over the floor, just about to eat a big morning snack (I'm sort of up to 5 small meals a day
:o:o) and sit down for a minute, cos if I don't, I'll be good for absolutely nothing in about ten minutes time :o

Sounds like you are very nearly done ready for your move.0

You are doing really well! How did you get on with the tape/sticky stuff?0
-
Morning! The sticky stuff was good, thanks sweetie - I did the one in the hallway myself, it had been hiding under a poster - wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. And the other one, Wol took care of it, with me looking on anxiously (for her - standing on a chair working with a claw hammer at full stretch above her head ) - a claw hammer and quite a few blobs of polyfilla saw it off :j
Then we worked like demons, which included Wol exploring a gloryhole that runs parallel to my hallway  and also talked through the next few days - I thought I'd prepared what needed to be done, but have found several chunks missing, thanks to Wolso last night, I made a new type of list
- one each for Sunday - Wednesday, and a general one of stuff that has to be fitted in somewhere
Decluttered a table base and an ironing board onto her as well :rotfl: there is no limit to my effrontery :kisses3:
She's been absolutely wonderful, I can't quite express how positive its been for me to have met her.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
You seem to be very organised! Hope you have a good day today. I've just taken the masking tape off the glass in the front door that I painted yesterday, and am about to go and rub down and varnish the sill.....
With a cup of coffee nearby of course.....:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I'm organised now! I think today will be fine - the counselling room is the focus today (mostly cos it needs to be in operation tomorrow
) and I've realised I do need to go to the shops - Asda calls, since its my addiction to pesto thats in question.
And I think I'd better buy an external hard drive to back up my computer - its so creaky now (mostly cos of how full the hard drive is) - I'm slightly worried about moving it... and I should have backup anyway - all my genealogy files and pix are on here, and they are backed up to a CD, but not recently - when I have upwards of 40G of data, CDs aren't a good form of backup any more. I could get one £10 or so cheaper on Amazon, but I can get a 500G one at Curry's for £45 off the shelf, I think thats pretty good.
Brekkie first, tho.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
