    Hi Karma,

I've got a Fuji camera and it's very good - was a Christmas present though, and a bit more than you're looking at spending, but I'd definitely recommend them as a brand. I got it from buyacamera.co.uk who were cheapest and was very impressed with them, so might be worth a look.

Thanks both - I didn't realise that the lithium ion batteries were greener, Pippajo - my previous had AA batteries, I used rechargeable ones, and didn't have any problems - surely thats pretty green :p

Thanks for the link, Squizz - I've had a look around, but you're right, they're mostly pricier on there than I really want to pay. In fact, what I'll probably do is reserve one at Argos :p when I go for my replacement doctor's appointment on Wednesday, I pass right by an Argos store, and I can pick it up and pay for it then, in cash. Its £40, and 9mp, still does little videos - the ones I've put up on youtube in times past were done with my 5mp, so I know thats going to be good enough .... nice and simple, and I really don't want to spend any more time looking. When I need something bigger, it'll be because my website is up and running and I'll want a HD thingy, as per the tutorials that I found on youtube about making a marketing website work.

You get much more use out of a lithium and they last longer on the number of recharges you can use.

I remember seeing some really good ones last time I was in Asda so may still be worth it on the basis of the free delivery.

Aldi do some good rechargeable batteries as well, last as long as the brand name ones.

    This is my camera - http://www.buyacamera.co.uk/xsearch.asp?searchtype=Name&searchfor=FUJIFINEPIXS1500&pt=f - I loves it :)

    - prepare mystery shop details for this week - I have two. done
    - submit that complaint about the doctor, thats to a freepost address, so I can do that today.
    - get some rubbish into the bin, its collection day tomorrow. done half, just got time to do another ten minutes or so.
    - clean up the patio. done half.
    - finish taking photos, done and start to put stuff up for sale on gumtree and on the local newspaper's website.
    - general decluttering :D e.g. checking out a Star Trek Generations computer game :rotfl:

EDIT - no wonder you loves it! Those are CCD cameras - thats the kind you hook up to an astronomical telescope and track stuff across the sky. Lovely.

You still got a lot done!

I got quite a bit of my list done, but then decided to carry on outside and cut the lawn and "mow" and overgrown right of way to the farm behind us. Have now decided after 15 years that it needs to be weedkillered (sorry to have to use the dreaded) and then gravelled. The weeds are really nasty and nearly as tall as me.

We own half of the width of it, so if they decide they do want to use it i can then always scrape the gravel away to my side - but to use it, it needs sorting anyway!

Not bad ... I've just come in from doing the last bit, up at the top of the garden - I just hope I can cover it all over with innocuous house rubbish, or the binmen will never take it :p

Some weedkillers biodegrade very, very quickly - you just have to choose the right one - I think roundup is like that. Maintenance on a big area might need it at first, sadly. I just had alook at the area thats fleeced over at the top of the garden, haven't been up there for a few weeks - the fleece was all over the place, looks like animals have been playing with it :p

And don't forget that you can order through Quidco for Argos to pick up at the store:D
