Thinking of genealogy, I've just been typing out some of my mum's memories - the child of a cousin of mine has been asked to ask an older relative about their memories - and she came up with something she'd never told me - the milkcart stopped outside their house, and she took a jug, and her little sister took the money, and they had to buy some milk. The milkman had a churn and he dipped into it with a long handled ladle! I guess I assumed that once they got electricity, which they did when they moved into that house, then lots of other modern conveniences sort of magically appeared. I suppose it *is* convenient having a milkman turn up at your door - but still, taking a jug!

Well what would you take? Baskets only work in winter...

    :D smart alec!

This was in the 1930s, and there were milk bottles in some areas by 1910 or so .... but I did find a picture online of a milkman with a horse and a little cart, with a milk churn - that must be what it was like :D I think I prefer my neatly packaged litres of soy milk!

There's probably human genes, tho, aren't there, as most soya that makes soy milk is grown in the US now?

Love that smiley, Z! I thought its tongue was waggling for a minute _pale_

Is it? I'd be concerned about GM if that's the case.

GM ... my mind is rotting, thats the phrase.........

As for the wagging tongue ..... yep, I'm *really* bored with my lack of social life, virtual tongues are fine by me. Um, your "location" description is catching my eye: " language.... innuendo .... eroticism". Yep, that fits the bill!
