Karmacat: To Infinity And Beyond!

Options
Well, this is my second long term diary – and I thought I’d quote Buzz, not only because I’m an old-school SF fan but also because I’m a real-time space nut, including having been a paid up member of The Mars Society, advocating human space flight and colonisation of Mars. Plus I have high hopes for when I get debt free! Not Mars, though hopefully low-earth orbit.

I’m a long term member of the dfw board …. I work on getting extra income by mystery shopping, matched betting (not enough!), amazon sales, and yougov surveys. And scratchcards….

I’m finishing off vouchers for mutualpoints (difficult, they won’t send me my password!) toluna and ipoints, after which I hope to be in a position to abandon them so I can devote more time to either working on my house (also safeguards my capital, after all) or just plain having some R&R. I’m also toying with free bingo again, but that isn’t going too well.

I’m self employed, and my business, after 20 years or so of giving me a pretty good living, is quietly failing – there are fads and longer term movements in these things, and its had its day, I think. And I’ve had my time in it too, I wouldn’t resuscitate it if I could.

There are other job options I can explore to go hand in hand with this – such as telesupport, being a virtual assistant, a website/blog I have ideas about, various trading ideas, business coaching and possibly OU tutoring, not sure about that one. And I’ll look at any weird and wonderful jobs that pop up….

That’ll do for now. Here we go …..

I wrote the above last weekend, and DoubleTrouble has reminded me to get it going - thanks DT :hello:

So, the last few days: posted an Amazon parcel, kept on trying free bingo (and not winning :rotfl:), my water company has just lowered my DD to £9.90, as I'm £33 in credit :j, erm, I cooked - a crumble from gluten free flour, plus coconut, which was yum, tho a little burned :o. And I phoned Tesco to tell them I'd lost a points voucher - it was a biggie for me, £8.50 - and they're sending a replacement! Plus my local Freecycle group has resigned from freecycle because of ongoing policy stuff from America, so I've joined the new group.

Next few days: 3 mystery shops. Free bingo. Whatever surveys come along for ipoints. I also have to carry on struggling with Virgin cable to ensure they're charging me correctly *and* they set up my contract correctly.

This is a busy day for me today - 3 hours paid work, plus two mystery shops, one of which is a fair old travel away. But for now.... I'm off around the forums again :D

EDIT - forums are shutting down tonight, to de-list lots of subs, so I'm putting a link to my previous diary in here:

Hi all! Thanks for posting - and Shaun, I want that Shanks smiley when you're ready!

Just done my first hour's paid work, couldn't do the phone mystery shop cos there's an issue with my phone provider now, I think, but the mystery shopping co knows, and they're trying to help me.

    Its good to be back!

As for me :D I just keep being tempted by the lure of free loot - and thats *my* responsibility. And we can have a play on there as well as on here - its a good excuse to be really *stuck* to the computer :D:D:D
