Just came back from Staples, none on show, but store room had some. Am reading the instructions. Bliss! First page:
"Never put this machine within certain box at your will or place it at too-oscillating place and under further severe collision."
This is not going to be easy.0 -
well I've just gone back and got mine.
It's not too bad off the house aeriel0 -

erm, from what I've tried not great but I haven't really given it a fair test yet. It's not in the best position where it is at the moment.
If I get a chance tomorrow I'll move it around and also try it in the car and let you know how it is.0 -
Hubby said the picture is c--p in the kitchen and reasonable in the lounge .. so please watch yours in the lounge (not mine though):rotfl:
He is gonna give it a go in the car tomorrow.. will let you know .....
I just had a quick read through the instructions , they are funny , very very funny , hubby gave up with the manual and just did it trial and error..... it works fine...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I picked one up today and off the house aeriel its very good and off its in built one its ok and watchable.
Btw ive had a few of these portables all different makes and none have been that sparkling off the in built aeriel.0 -
When I picked up mine in Staples, they had one unsealed, returned as a "part was missing". Gave it no thought till I tried to set up the stand. I have the base with a 2 1/4" upright piece witha silver fixed "washer" at the top. The other piece is a slide that attaches to the back of the TV, with a ball and socket that can be adjusted. But I have no way of attaching the base to the ball and socket bit. Anybody get an extra bit in their box? Have I missed something? Any point in taking it back? It was factory sealed when I got it. Thanks!0

you will find watching tv with a inbuilt aerial will be just about watchable no matter which dvd payer you get . Only the best way to get a good reception in a car would be to get a external aerial attached to the car, even then the picture wont be perfect at all times when your driving.0

Agree with top poster... Also, look at the size your HOME tv aerial has to be to get a decent picture, then look at the size of the thing they stick on a portable...It doesn't obey the laws of physics captain!
It also depends if you live near transmitters, hills, airports etc. etc.0 -
Ooops. Sorry to give the wrong impression, I actually meant that I would pull over and watch the match in a lay-by not whilst driving.
My driving is bad enough without having that kind of distraction!
I am hoping to connect my 7" dvd player to it so both screens show the dvd film and occasionally use it as a stand alone tv. Is this feasable - asks a ludite!0
