audi drivers. The people who used to drive BMW's and have now 'upgraded' are generally !!!!!!. No idea how to use indicators, look beyond the end of the bonnet or correctly position their car on the road. Those with older ones are generally ok.

Is an Audi an upgrade? Audi's seem to be the most common car on the road, especially the A4 - estate - was there a super used car sale on them or something? the A3 seems to be more common than a ford focus , they used to stand out from the crowd but now your more likely to driving a Astra! I think the A3, A4 and A6 need a face lift, they all look boring & clincial looking now ,:pmehh

Used to see all of that daily when i lived near a school.
Worse thing is they'll start a row with you in front of all the kids if you say anything and make it look like your the one being unreasonable just for wanting to get off your own drive!
There can't be any contest here, the 1st post survey is correct, but it's not just school run mums, it's the sodding dads too.

They have written there own set of rules that can be applied any weekday between the hrs of 8 to 9 am and 3 to 4 pm.

    EG as follows between the above times it is perfectly accetable to;

Park accross any drive that does not have a car in it

Park accross any drive even if there is a car in it

Park in any un occupied drive way

Actually can I nominate a different breed of school mums - the private school mum! :D

We have a small private school near us. It's located on a residential street comprising various semi and detached houses all with driveways onto the road. When it's pick up time the arrogant mums park in peoples driveways - empty or not. Most of the residents tolerate this - the mums will be gone in 15 minutes. But when a resident needs to get out and are blocked in they are met by a torrent of abuse and the immortal justification that "I'm am picking up my children!" One utterly fed up resident has an old Land Rover parked in the road and he happily blocks any stupid mum in who uses his drive and departs to the pub to down a few drinks so that he cannot drive for fear of being over the limit. :D
    The man without a signature.
  • Some might say the elderly - but the other night coming home from work and waiting to pull out of a turning, an Aygo, containing three grey haired old ladies whizzed past.... I had a job to keep up! The driving was in no way bad, it was very good actually - but fast! I was quite proud of the driver to be honest!

My OH drives an Aygo and they're nippy little !!!!!!s! She was following me down the motorway at the weekend and it was hilarious seeing her cruising past all these top of the range mercs, BMW's etc...

There's alot of people who annoy me on the roads but I think the winner has to be the school run mums for me. I live round the corner from an infant school and you get people off my street and connecting streets driving their kids to school, it's literally about a 2 minute walk if that...

I usually drive about 2-3 miles out the way to avoid it because I know i'll end up in a bad mood... You see all these women parking their BMW X5 - 3 wheels parked on the road and the other on the pavement :rotfl: just to see one kid get out. Then they decide to sit there on the phone while people are trying to squeeze past etc... arghhh, makes me mad thinking about it!

I saw some woman almost drive head on into a wall from stationary not that long ago, she couldn't figure out how to reverse with an automatic gearbox in a range rover sport
This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.

Not far from where I used to live a man had a drive which was a semi-circle shape and two gates which he used to leave open. The amount of parents that used his drive as a means to turn around meant he had to get his drive redone and now he locks one of the gates. He enjoyed the day he first locked the gate, with mothers now blocked in by other mothers and they were complaining at him!

I knew I was on a winner with the last post. Good to hear it's not me that sees it. It would be funny if it wasn't true, and for all the hassle it causes me and other locals. Infact it is funny to see all the abuse that gets hurled from mums and dads on the one hand and the through traffic on the other. To be honest it's hilarious at times:rolleyes:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

And its usually a Metro that they are driving, with a tartan blanket and a box of tissues on the parcel shelf. Think I have just described Goldspangles... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I do sometimes wonder when was the last time they needed a box of tissues in the back seat of their car.:o

the lazy sods who live within a mile radius of work and drive in daily clogging up the roads for the rest of us who have to drive miles in, im talking bout the 9-5 people!

If you live within a 1-2 mile radius you should get charged £2 a day for driving in the town centre!:mad: walk or get the bus, i wish i had the luxury of living so close, people in my work place a re fit able body people who are to lazy to walk or get the bus.

What about the people who commute from out of London to work, living in a cheaper area plus getting London weighting because they work in London, London weighting is supposed to reflect the higher costs of LIVING in London, not working in London.
