For o2 customers with a landline there is a great deal available at the moment!
It's too late for me as i signed up a month ago..
o2 Broadband is currently 7.34 a month if you have a contract with o2 (£88 per year plus your landline costs) but at the moment they are offering the first three months free (saving you £22) and you can get £50 cashback through Topcashback..
..it will cost you £16!
The contract is for 12 months and they provide you with all the wireless equipment, i set mine up and its easy peasy!
You can get £100 cashback if you sign up for the broadband at the top end of the scale!

I'm pretty sure that for the £7.34 a month contract you will only get £50 cashback.
For the £9.79 pcm you'll get £75 cashback
And for the £17.23pcm you'll get £100 cashback.
Well that's how i read it0 -
Thanks Shell, just signed up for O2 Pro with the topcashback - makes it £9.82 a month (as I'm not an O2 mobile customer). Hopefully it'll do what it says it'll do (I'm more interested in the 2.5Mb upload rather than the 20Mb download).
Cheers,

I’ve been working on this for the past week going backwards and forwards between my current provider (Eclipse) and O2 trying to make a decision. I’ve always worked by the adage if it sounds too good to be true, it is and this deal with O2 just sounds too good to be true. Eclipse have always been steady, I’ve never had more than 3mb (O2 tell me I can get up to 17mb) but it’s always around that amount, they’re never down and they are straight up about their ‘fair use policy’ (20GBpcm). I asked for my mac codes and Eclipse told me they have heard that O2 speeds start of good but soon slow down and they asked me to ask them about their ‘fair use’ limits. I rang o2 and asked them and the guy got very ‘shirty!’ He said that the O2 ‘fair use’ policy had no limits but if my download usage was such that it was affecting other users they would invoke restrictions. Bells are now ringing!! I then asked him about the contract what were the terms, conditions, penalties? He said that if I cancelled after 30 days I had to pay for the whole year. I then asked whether that would be the rest of the year at the discounted (O2 customer) rate or the full rate. He got ‘shirty’ again and asked why was I asking about cancelling before I had tried it. I said that I thought it was sensible to know about the terms and conditions before I signed up; he said there are lots of them and suggested I read up on them on the web site!!
I’d like 17mb and unlimited downloads for £9.79 a month but I just have this nagging doubt. Tell me I am wrong and that I’ll get everything they promise and we’ll both be happy ever after?0 -
I also note that O2 supply a free router. I own my own router, it’s a Belkin fsd9630 which cost me a lot of money. Does anyone know if their router is better than mine? Does anyone know if I can refuse to take their router (so that if I cancel I don’t have to send it back)?0

MSE agrees with you.
"£50 - £75 cashback with O2 broadband.
It's possible to earn £50 - £75 cashback on O2 depending on the package via Quidco* and Topcashback*, cutting the price by a further £4-£6 a month over the contract length. "

Do I need to be on an O2 LLU exchange to get this deal or does it apply to any standard BT landline connection ?
Thanks.0 -
My 02 connection has been pretty fast to be honest and the wireless router is spot on, i guess you can use any router though really if you decided to keep using your own.
Im not a heavy downloader myself but it does the job for me, i got the £50 cashback so maybe i didn't miss the boat afterall!
I've revised the original post in line with Ubees comments, thanks! should have drawn down on the detail. It's still a good offer though.Mortgage free wannabe!:

About a month, i was with orange before that.
I only have the basic package, i listen to a lot of music online, watch some tv programmes and films but im not that heavy a downloader and it suits me fine, im using my laptop and the wireless now.
I signed up when it was two months free and 50 cashback and ive been impressed with how easy it was to set it all up, easier than orange, but maybe thats because its my second wireless setup
I hope this helps someoneMortgage free wannabe!:
