Completing a full year of SA plus half a year of "informal" R27 turned out to be a mistake, as the [STRIKE]two [/STRIKE] three systems don't seem to link up.
I was left expecting the bullying payments on account SA system and its positive balance to be sorted out in response to the R27.
It was not.

No reply.
So I telephoned - it took three phone calls plus at least half a dozen that said "we are busy" and cut me off.
I think you will need to telephone.
Presumably you don't have an IHT liability ?
No, way below the threshold. His pension was taxed PAYE and all other income (savings and investments) taxed at source, and not a higher rate taxpayer. I anticipate no tax difficulties. Letters have certificates of posting so they can't claim they weren't informed.0 -
I've been waiting with baited breath for my ITC customer feedback form to arrive now that we have finally ended our nightmare. Sadly so far, one has not been forthcoming. Maybe they already know it won't be good!
Does anybody have a copy of a form they could post here (if that's possible) as I so want to let them know how I feel.
If I can't get a form I will resort to sending an email to their CEO, but it would be nice to make sure I don't miss out on any aspect at all of my feedback!
Thanks and here's hoping.0 -
Hello angrygirlie.Re my earlier post.
When i went in to the local Barclays branch to complain about ITC,i asked them to release the very small amount of money-approx. £1500-left in my mothers account,to help with funeral costs. They wouldnt even do that!!!Despite having a copy of will, death certificate,i.d.,etc they said i would have to obtain a grant of probate...an act of pure and utter spite on their part for not using ITC.Presumably in their twisted little minds my parents money would continue to earn them some interest. These "people" are beyond contempt.I hope you are right angrygirlie, and they do get whats coming to them...but somehow i doubt it.0 -

I believe that we should at least try to fight these people as I have more to gain by giving it my best shot. After my personal experience with ITC, I will do what I can to prevent others from getting caught up with this company. Not a huge success in the big picture, but enough to make the difference in some peoples lives.0 -

It's ancient Rome and Nero eats slaves all the time, raw, head first. Or sometimes after they've been burnt at the stake. Watch out, worm, the evil carnivorous gods will liquidate you any time they feel like it.
Angrygirlie : “All bad things come back to bite one on the bum”
If only that was true. Sadly, no, wrong’uns generally get away with it in the dog eat dog Darwinian jungle law natural world and the strong, clever, brutal people crush the weak vulnerable people underfoot and eat them for breakfast everyday. Law is a mere thin veneer illusion lie put up as a blind to distract prey and making them easier to kill. So get rich or die trying.
Yes, I mean it, although I've expressed it like that, I mean it, there's a lot of evil people getting away with it, all the time, everywhere, there's no rule of law in UK or world. The British Home Office recently publicly admitted that they know of "1.6 million hardened full time criminals" at large running amok doing heavy evil crime all the time everywhere and that there is no intention by the wholly unfit for purpose, negligent, uncaring, incompetent, failed, evil, sick British government to ever arrest, imprison or deport any of them other than the occasional token few.
So you can see where your situation is in the English scheme of things. You're simply a slave to be exploited and taxed and ripped off and abused by anyone and everyone.
Of course but that does not mean to say one should accept and take it without some form of fight If there's a possibility of being a pain in someone's rear end by gnawing away at them, then I'm first in line to start the hounding process.!!!!!0 -
I've also been having problems with ITC recently. They seem to be a law unto themselves & I think that you are right Kernowlady, we have to band together to effect a change in the law.
I'm new to this site & unsure of how we can gather together all the people with problems re; ITC. But if this is possible I will contact a family member in the house of lords who may be in the position to get the ball rolling, but we will have to get as many people to come forward with their case histories in paper form to even get this started.
I do believe that this company should be regulated as should all legal service providers. The fact that they're not needs addressing so that the public, at a time when we need protecting the most (having recently lost a close relative)0 -

From all the recent posts from unhappy clients, it appears that people do call and are obviously getting nowhere. It's a bad sign when, to get ITC's attention, the client has to resort to airing their discontent on this public forum.0 -

Hello angrygirlie.
Just a note to say thanks to you and everyone else for all their posts-you have stopped me from making a terrible mistake. To anyone out there who is thinking of applying for probate themselves please go ahead and do it.I applied for probate 2 weeks ago and so far the process has been very straightforward....i have an interview at the local probate registry office early next week and the whole process should take approx. 5 weeks.NOT 6-9 months that the ITC rep said! Also,it has only cost £95.....not quite the £2100+ i was quoted! I wonder why itc/barclays never pointed out how easy probate is to do....I have now lost both my parents so i can imagine the pain and stress everyone else is feeling.Even though i think ive had a (very)lucky escape i will be doing something to stop these cowboys from preying on others. Thanks again,angryboy.0
