i meant to ask -- any of you use a slow cooker (i know im being silly asking this!!!!) ....... my real question is, i seen one today in asda, for £7 -- do they all do the same thing?? you guys think it would be ok for my first one, just incase i end up not liking it and not using it!???

The asda one is good, but worth getting a bigger one if you like to batch cook. We have a lovely 6 litre one (which I have an embarrassing story about :o)

weezl, I wasn't sick at all until 18wks (just felt it from 8-16wks!).. there's time yet :p

Back from Asda, obviously.. Now got three big boxes of nappies and a massive stockpile of wipes so some are going in the loft for a while! :o So much for my shopping for the end of the month thing last weekend - just come back with more food, as well as the milk and fresh stuff we went for  Did get reduced yoghurts though so I'm going to OD on those for the next few days (will it do my milk supply any good?)

Just finishing the last of the RR with a cuppa now as there's no room for it in the fridge anymore.. ;)

    Ok:o:D

Important information at start of the story: My very large slo-cooker is made by the company 'Bush'. And people often refer to stuff by the name of the manufacturer... 'My dyson' for example?

It was at an office 'do' with my boss, bosses boss etc, and it was in that awkward chit chatty bit at the beginning. An extravert colleague had heard about my 50p a day challenge and was asking me all about it. She'd just asked if I didn't find it all such a hassle and faff with the batch cooking. And then there was one of those lulls that just strikes, just as I uttered the unfortunate but now infamous:

'oh no, I owe my success entirely to my enormous Bush!'

Oh, meant to say, I picked up the Baby Essentials Bounty bag whilst at Asda. It's got samples from Cow&Gate (x4), Hipp (x2), Persil (x2), Comfort (x1 plus a muslin) and Cif (x1), plus money off vouchers and other leaflets too :)

Also bought Mother & Baby magazine with a free Annabel Karmel recipe book so that's my evening's reading sorted out :)

ETA: Oh and I saw a very brave/daring lady with a baby in a travel system pram, plus a 2/3 year old, plus a massive trolley packed full of huge boxes of nappies and usual shopping, pushing it all round on her own and yelling after the toddler.. _pale_ I can barely manage a full trolley on my own!
