Oh Bruno, if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you? I doubt I (or anyone) could get it for the price of 2years of lens. Only costs me £240, for 2 years
Laser eye sounds good but, I am currently -4.5 in my left eye and -5.0 in my right, and that prescription is obviously higher if I'm wearing glasses! Slight astigmatism too, whatever that is!
You know why my eyes are terrible? Laser pens! When me and my sister were kids on spain we used to shine them in each others faces ALL the time (didnt know it was bad!) and now we both are wearing glasses, and there are no other glasses wearers in the whole of my mums side (apart from a Grandad but he's like 60 and his precription isn't as bad as mine!)
So kids, don't point a laser pen in your eye mmmkay0 -

it wouldnt be cheaper for me, i get staff discount on me lenses
tbh though it doesnt really bother me wearing contacts and glasses, it sounds like i have the same ones as MFD, i just leave them in a few days and then when they feel a bit dry wear my glasses for a few days. i'm a -4.25 and -4.75. blind!Mummy to

...! No, it costs from around £400 an eye.

Depends where you go, like anything else. I paid £400 an eye as it happens, but that was 13 years ago when money was worth more
And "it wouldn't be cheaper, I get a staff discount"... ok.... so how much would it cost you for another 35 years of lenses? Less than £800.... ?
Some eyes will be more than £800 obviously... most places will do financing I believe, and it's as good a reason for a loan as anything else!
Gah!0 -
that's the cheapest one it can be almost £4k per eye if you're really blind  I made an enhquiry ages ago and was quoted £2k ish per eye.
I'm unusual (apparently) because I have a really bad astigmatism but almost no problem with long/short distance. I've been told that there isn't any disposable contacts available for my condition
here's how astigmatism affects your vision http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Astigmatism_text_blur.png
basically instead of your eye having 1 point of focus for both horizontal and vertical it has 2 seperate ones so what you see is a blurry mix of the two0 -
Ah but Bruno, laser eye won't fix your eyes for 35years! Your eyes naturally get worse as you get older, and it's a fair bet that'll you need some sort of glasses at 40.
Plus ya know, you can go blind haha0
