Sami, the internet tells me that Shreddies are in fact a sort of "child of unmarried parents"* offspring of a variety of Chex, if that helps at all! Let us know how it turns out!

Although, I have not been making any desserts recently :( I like cooking them, but between time cost and OH trying to eat healthily I have no motivation. It's frustrating!

I asked - she thinks there isn't a similar UK cereal really; Shreddies are kind of similar in appearance but don't taste the same at all. She does point out though that there are loads of online places which supply US food to people in the UK (there's a big market for it..!) :)

ETA www.skyco.uk.com seem to have Rice Chex but pricey.

ETA2 Tia may well be right, as OH has never tried or seen those. To be fair there are quite a few dodgy cereals out there she has never experienced :p
I thought that would be the cas but thanks for asking :)
I might try it with shreddies and see what its like, I worry that they'll make it too dry in the mouth but I'm sure having a big glass of milk will help ;)

:rolleyes:my OH has just called from tesco and said "they have no fruit juice" seriously!!

he actually ment; when I stand vaguely near the fridges, the copella bottles don't jump out and say "hello, we're here!"

I'm now wondering how much it would cost to post things from the us  I have a us friend so I could ask her... maybe in return I could send her Jaffa cakes, she misses them!

Grr.. can feel myself getting wound up..

My mum's been home all of two hours and she's phoned me twice, text me four times and mentioned coming round tonight.. No no no no nooooo

OH just just phoned - they did back of the hand blood test, plus heel pr1ck and urine sample from Rhys.. Why did they not tell me they were going to do the last two?! He's also forgotten the key he needs so needs to double back on himself to fetch another one from his parents'... (thus keeping Rhys out much longer than he ought to be)
