About contraception, I'm finding that lack of interest is the best one for me - we resumed relations and it was so uncomfortable that I don't feel like I want to try again till my incision's stopped being uncomfortable with any pressure on it. Plus I have a paranoid fear that if I, um, enjoy myself too much the muscle contractions will rip open my internal stitches.
It's obviously still early days for us, but I know that my c/section will be what puts Marley off for a whileI think I'm going to go back onto a Pill of some kind.

I want to go back on the pill I was on before once bf is over. It helped keep the PMT under control. Although neith PMT or the requirement for contraception are top priorities at the mo. One day!

ss - don't worry about lack of interest. It's totally normal. If DH is harrassing you , try sitting down with him (not at bed time) and explaining that it's normal to feel like this and that you love him but he needs to give you a little time to 'heal'.
BTW - Annabel is now 7 1/2 months and DH and I only resummed relations recently and have made it to the grand total of 3 attempts. But we have lots of cuddles. I'm lucky that DH is understanding and TBH he was/is terrified of getting me pregnant again :rotfl: You ahve to work out what will work for you both as a couple. keep talking and things will be fine.r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

.. Elle, are you getting some sleep? your posting is right down, I hope it's because you're resting not because you're miserable?
I was asleep before midnight
Woke up at 2am, fed Rhys, put him back in his crib, expressed and then lay there for the next two hours worried about the fact I couldn't find my mobile. Couldn't start turning the room upside down at 4am so was just trying to work out when I last had it. Rhys started waking at about 5am but OH jumped up at the same time as I did so let him go, then he found himself holding a screaming baby but without the initiative to put him down and sort the milk so I still ended up getting up to sort that  Finally got 45mins sleep then picking up a crying (again) Rhys, and dozed off with him feeding and got another two hours *yawn* Oh and OH found my phone down the middle of the sofa this morning
Anyway, onwards and upwards.. The carpet fitter is here :j
Going to have a sort out of paperwork today if I get chance, then my Grandparents are visiting this afternoon along with usual visit from the Comms Nurse (who might have tracked down the brain scan results).
Hope everyone has a nice day... *hugs* to the tired and in need xx0 -
Sami, I feel I'd be derelict in my manly duty if I didn't observe that suggestion 1 can be a process that takes a while, and your issue only occurs right at the very end. It's an after-hours discussion at best though so I shall go quiet now
Ikea have toy boxes that close reeaaally slowly with a piston type hinge thing, maybe you can get a slow close hingey thing in a DIY store? It won't take him long to work out how to open it from the side.feelinggood wrote: »Had a difficult night and a hard day this morning. Seems I get one demon under control, then another pops back out of the woodwork. Its also the one thing I can't talk to other people about, so I'm sat here feeling alone and sad, trying to persuade myself that the bottle of whisky and a 24 pack of crisps wouldn't change how I feel inside. LO slept well, 9.30pm till 4:30am, but I didn't get to sleep till 1am.
warning to all parents, be very careful with letting babes play with any real mobile, it makes them think all mobiles are fair game and only takes them 2 mins to produce enough drool to render you expensive mobile irreparable :rolleyes:0 -
Morning all,
My child will not stop babbling. She has also started to grab everything and shove it in her mouth. Its all down hill from here I think!!!
Hubby sent me a text this morning which said 'just to say I love you and what a great mum you are - you're the best'. It made me all warm and fuzzy inside (but not warm and fuzzy enough to do some of the things you were chatting about last night)!!
Just waiting for the Asda man to get here.

I have the plates as does Krystal (I spotted them on one of her photos once
) they're fab!
I need to go to ikea but not sure my bank account can take it, I spent almost £100 in asda today, £50 of which was 2x boxes of Chris's nappies, 2xEd's nappies and 2x boxes of wipes
I've joined the otherside and am now using Huggies super dry
They're exremely useful and very hardwearing, I doubt you'll need the spares SB... I still have bowls and cups from Ikea that I bought when I used to mind my neice, she's 9 now and they're still useable (apart from the ones that have disapeared!) even the one I melted with a hot pan is still useable!
Ladybird, is it the normal pill that you were on before? You can actually take it whilst breastfeeding but only once it is well established first... Although with your current issues it might be best avoided for a little while longer...
We're using condoms... I' probably going to get a coil fitted sooner or later, but not keen on anything hormonal... They don't bother me much anyway, hubby's not keen but when it's a choice between a condom or nothing, guess which wins outA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
