  • Wow - Izzy went to bed at half seven ish, and is still sleeping! Nursery must have really tired her out. (Either that or she has realised if she's not going to have milk there is no point waking Mummy up in the night ;) )

It's just a shame I woke up at 5am wondering why I hadn't been woken up yet, and couldn't get back to sleep. It is Mummy's curse I tell you!

(I hope everyone is OK, will go back and catch up later!)

Well... my SIL friend had one removed from her diaphragm just under her right rib. Because I have no idea when it came out and can't honestly think of a time it may have came out, they said it could have perforated the uterus and be in the abdominal cavity.

    Morning all

Elijah worked out how to open his big wooden toy box this morning :( no experimentation or anything, he just walked straight up to it and lifted the lid. Sad-face, because he wasn't stopped by the various things we'd stacked on the top, and given the way he lifted the lid, bent over and stuck his head inside to see and let go of the lid, if I hadn't happened to be right there he would have been violently brained by a big wooden slab with weights on it :/

Toy box now turned to face the wall.. sigh!

Sami, I feel I'd be derelict in my manly duty if I didn't observe that suggestion 1 can be a process that takes a while, and your issue only occurs right at the very end. It's an after-hours discussion at best though so I shall go quiet now :)

Elle, are you getting some sleep? your posting is right down, I hope it's because you're resting not because you're miserable?

Scruffy, I hope it's nothing serious with OH!

I don't have an iPhone but Elijah is absolutely obsessed with my Blackberry, both our mobile phones, etc. We have kept an old SIM-less mobile to distract him during changing, it's slowly losing its magic but it's done well for quite some time.

Blimey, the things you ladies talk about late at night - are you talking because you're not doing? :p

Andrew now weighs almost a bag of sugar (a mental milestone for me) - 994g this morning, he's put on another 61g in three days :j :j :j If he keeps that up, then he won't be needing really tiny clothes as he'll be over 3lb in another 3-4 weeks, so I can jump in with the 3-5lb clothes instead.

  • Had a difficult night and a hard day this morning. Seems I get one demon under control, then another pops back out of the woodwork. Its also the one thing I can't talk to other people about, so I'm sat here feeling alone and sad, trying to persuade myself that the bottle of whisky and a 24 pack of crisps wouldn't change how I feel inside. LO slept well, 9.30pm till 4:30am, but I didn't get to sleep till 1am.
