  • Hi Hypno  Nothing to add here re books. We have the "what to expect in the first year" book, but I tend to just use that for "what to do about this particular problem" rather than as a bible if you see what I mean. We follow Sami's instinct parenting. I take advice from the HV/My Mum/MIL/everyone on here, then ignore the things that don't seem right, and follow the advice of the people who suggest what I was going to do all along ;)

:eek::eek::eek:We had a BIG scare here earlier!! Got back from MILs went to go up stairs, Chris was about 3 steps ahead of me when I spotted the biggest spid EVER on the middle stair_pale_ it's span was bigger than my hand and at first Chris thought it was a crab  I nearly pooped my pants and Chris burst into tears and once OH had squished the thing Chris was
shouting "it scared my mummy!" :A

    Chris is the cutest :)

All ready for nursery in the morning here (I think!). We're having a trial run tomorrow to try and get us both up, breakfasted, washed & dressed (properly, as if I'm really going to work, rather than just pulling a skirt on to go with the t-shirt I slept in, and doing the rest later on!) and washing machine on before leaving the house at about 7:50. I'm not convinced it is going to work, but it is worth a try!

Oh, I've got a sore throat now, so maybe i'm coming down with whatever Izzy had? She's not got herself latched on again since she was half asleep this morning, but I have got her to at least lie next to my breast without crying and pushing it away when trying to settle her down to sleep, so that is something at least :)

That's like me and it seems to have worked ok so far. Maybe we should write a book on it :D

I'm off to lie in fear in bed :p It always takes me at least a day upto a week to recover from a spid invasion! I wish OH didn't have to go to work 2mo :( Think I'll be going to boobie group 2mo just so I feel 'safe' for a bit!
