Right, back.. It's his calcium levels, again :o Stop one med, start another and blood tests every four days for the foreseeable future :( This new med, it's big tablets to dissolve in 10ml of water, then give 1ml of the solution and discard the rest, three times a day - what a waste! :o We'll get results of today's blood test tomorrow, then next ones are Saturday (still to be decided whether they're coming to us or we're going to them for it, have said we'll do whatever fits in with them obviously :)).

Been back to catch up a bit..

Feelie, nope, don't bath together - I'm too afraid of dropping him and him drowning :o

Exactly! ;) Sorry Susan, and anyone else I missed out.. :(

Angela, feeling better for a bit of pampering? :) I was googling "Afterthoughts" yesterday and if you google that and your town/hospital, it might come up with something - it seems quite a few hospital have a similar thing to ours.

Claire, will PM you about the pump :)
  • Elle, you should try bathing together... I've done it with both my girls... I actually feel less likely to drop a baby when we're in the bath together than when I'm hanging over the side of the bath washing them on their own... I have a bouncy chair at the side of the bath I drape a towel over then when she's had enough I pop her on it and wrap her up then have a quick shower to wash my hair...

Hope Rhys' calcium levels sort themselves out soon!!!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hope they get it sorted out Elle - must be worrying.

It's odd that so many people hate Huggies. I used them all the time for the boys with no problems, and prefer them for Charlotte. I buy them if they're on offer and work out cheaper than Tesco Essentials.
Here I go again on my own....

Izzy loves animals. She gets very excited when Grannys cat comes in, or we see someone walking a dog!
Alice always gets excited about dogs but then when they come close she gets scared. (I don't mean random dogs running up - I mean when the owner offers to let her stroke it because it is a friendly dog.)

CG hasn't posted here for a while - someone needs to start talking about fish cream.

In 2005, 45 per cent of all mothers in the United Kingdom were breastfeeding exclusively at one week, while 21 per cent were feeding exclusively at six weeks. At four months the figure was 7 per cent while at six months the proportion of mothers who were breastfeeding exclusively was negligible (<1 per cent).

ETA: They give different figures to what I did for introduction of solids but mine were from a secondary source so presumably incorrect.

I find if I put them on too tight, then Jack has marlks on his bum. If I don;t do them tight enough they leak - he's on his 3rd set of clothes today! Back in Pampers now.

    Having chilli for tea -
OH said you do tea, I'll do pudding.
Me - Yum, sticky toffee pudding and custard? (lloking hopefully)
OH - Oh, I was thinking fruit!

Fruit?!!!! Why would I want fruit when there is sticky toffee pudding in the fridge!

We seem to have enough bananas to feed a small monkey zoo for a month - I blame MIL!!

Elle - big hugs for Rhys and hoping his levels pick up again.
How do they take his blood? Is it a heel p r i c k?
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Yup, usually. It depends who does it - only some nurses are trained to do needle in the back of his hand, or sometimes they get a registrar to do that, but more often than not it's HP, that all nurses can do.

We have a chart on the fridge and tick off the meds when we've given them - so we don't have to wake each other up to check what the other did last ;) Time to change the chart again.. Used to print them off a few weeks at a time but that's a waste of paper these days, week by week is the way to go

Enjoy your viewing and rest :) xx
