ooooh weezl, here's a question you should be able to answer then, I usually just warm up some passata and italian herbs to add to Celia's pasta but I'd like to add some lentils too. What kind would you recommend and how would you suggest I went about it (bearing in mind I get very little cooking time that Celia isn't helping with, and I haven't cooked lentils before)
Thank you lovely weezl :-)
red lentils have the shortest cooking time and don't need presoaking, so I'd recommend those, they also go down to a soft mush, whereas green lentils keep their shape so could possibly present a choking hazard for lovely celia . I'd give them 25 mins in the tomatoey sauce, but you'll probably need to add quite a bit more liquid or stock as they are very thirsty!
I tend to add stock in dribs and drabs like a risotto, so I get the consistency I want
HTH, feel free to ask more...

My name is Tia and I am a spendaholic. I think I am spending money on crap to make up for hubby never being here and me feeling very very bored. Tonight I am going to do a spreadsheet/budget thingy. Oh and also I have a credit card with £3700 to clear (we put the new car on it and the sofa). I need motivation, on paper we could clear it in less than a year, but I'm wasting all our extra cash.
Would you like me to 'look after' your extra cash for you, then you wont be able to spend it on crap! :money:Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
