How did you find all that out? Is there an easy way or did you have to search everyone individually?

Claire Jones, I have the medela mini electric and it's great. Doesn't have as many fancy buttons as the swing. You can adjust the suction and it sucks then releases, can't adjust the suck/release pattern though. But it has 3 parts to sterilise, horn, valve and bottle.

Weezl - not sure if this will be of any interest to you? but just came across it http://guidance.nice.org.uk/CG/Wave14/21

Elasti - not got anything inspirational but can you demand a 2nd opinion? i think I'd be banging the doc's door down. Surely it needs investigating, he may need surgery or a hearing aid I'd think..

off to IL's now to look at cottages

  • Oh, electric pumps - I liked my Avent Isis electric one, I think for occasioinal use it would be good. Mine lasted 8 weeks, of being used about 10 times a day. Can't beat the Symphony though, expensive but fab.

Elle - we've done a lot of skin-to-skin. Not total, but I often sleep topless and he just has a vest on, so we get a lot of contact. I'm sure it helps. Do you bath together?

What could be wrong with my little one?

She went down for a sleep at 3:30pm but is very unsettled and keeps moaning. She threw up on me just before she went to sleep but I think that was because she was choking a bit because she took a big fat suck of the boobie woobie and in her choking state, brought it all back up. (But she has never thrown up before). She doesnt have a temperature and she has a clean nap naps and clean baby gro!

I know I said she was feeding alot but now i'm wondering if she is doing it for comfort as she doesnt feel too good. She drank 90ml of EBM and refused any more but she cried for the boobie. So I dont think she was hungry she just wanted to suck.

I dont want to give her calpol if theres nothing wrong with her.

I'm not asking for medical advice but just other things I should maybe check or things that might be wrong e.g hubby says its the change in pressure caused by the rainy weather!

Maybe I sound a bit paranoid but she never cries unless there is something wrong and since I have ruled out hunger I am at a loss.

  • Mooki - my LO gets grumpy with stormy weather. I get pressure headaches, so I wonder if he does too?

Cat is doing fine, he seems okay if a bit subdued. It cost £50! I was charged £10 for a pre op consultation, what is that nonsense?! I've phoned the vets and they'll get back to me. Damn right they will, I'm not paying an extra £10 for her to check his weight and heart before he got done, that's just STANDARD!

He still is being investigated. He goes to a childrens hospital to have the tests but his next one isn't until dec. They want to see him every 3 months. I asked if it could be something as simple as him needing his adenoids out she didn't seem bothered. Just got to build this stupid case history up of so many failed tests before he can be refered properly. I think i will go and see what the docs says but he won't say anything as it is already being looked at. He can hear and as he has alway spoke very well from an early age they don't seem to bothered about it but there is no telling what he hears there are cetain pitches and tones he can't hear and his left ear is worse than his right.
