Okay, I clicked the multi quote button on 2 messages but not sure how i retrieve them?
Press the "reply" button at the bottom of the page (not the quick reply button)

Chopsticks, Rose is exactly the same. If she manages to go to bed without a dummy, she doesnt seem to wake and want one at all, all night. If she goes to bed with a dummy, she wakes and needs it put back in, sometimes quite a few times, like last night. She woke at 1am, 3am and 5am, all to have her dummy put back in. Rose also isnt fed at all during the night. Goes from 6pm to 6am with no feed x

It's odd isn't it. I remember we had to put her dummy back in at 12, 1:30, 1:40, 1:45 and 2:30. There were some more (I gave up looking at the clock!) but I know the last time was 5am. She then woke up at 6:05.

Thanks for letting me know about the feeding in the night. You' ve set my mind at rest.

Morning Ladies! I hope you all have a fine Monday :)

Andrew was weighed last night, and has managed to put on three ounces in four days - so he's finally broken through my psychological barrier to reach 2lb 1oz :j :j :j :j

    Well done Andrew!!!

I need to do some research about SIDS today. DH doesn't sleep soundly because of his concern about it, I hadn't really realised :o.

    hope you all slept well,

Ladybird is Izzy any happier this morning?

    xxx[/QUOTE]

Ah, I found out how to multi quote. They popped up in my next message!

Weezl, my OH has issues re this too.

I went into labour with Rose originally at 23 weeks. Without going into things too much as it still really upsets me. They told me she would be born, probably alive but would eventually stop breathing and they wouldnt do anything to resusitate (sp) her as she was too premature. They managed to stop that labour.

She was eventually born at 31 weeks and obviously in SCBU. He seemed fine while she was in hospital but became very stressed and anxious once she came home. He is now receiving help to deal with this as he is having real problems dealing with the fact something is going to happen to her. They have more or less said its the stress of what happened bringing on the feelings he is having x

Oooooooh, my very kind uncle just sent the monster three - three! - packages of books!!

Well, he didn't just send them. They just arrived - just in time for the monster to finally go to sleep. Poor thing has a sniffle and sneezy thing. I have my six-week post-op check this morning and the nurses at the office asked me to bring her so they could see her. I don't think I will though while she's so snotty, but Husband was up half the night making sure she didn't suffocate on her own bogies  so perhaps I should and let him take a proper sleep.

Her first tooth is almost out - she's six weeks old tomorrow, and it's one of the top two. I thought the bottom ones came first? In any case, it's there and it's sharp. Fortunately she has a gorgeous smile that she is rapidly perfecting so she'll be able to show it off.

How's everyone else this morning? As per usual I'm just rambling on, but I can't help with the night-time just-dummy question because the monster wants feeding whenever she wakes up, even if she's only half awake she'll latch on and feed herself back to sleep. And we're too far away to join in sling meets, although we have two pouch slings (one for Mama and one for Daddy) and she hates Mama's because it's too snug. She doesn't mind Daddy's but prefers the Baby Bjorn so she can be upright.

Congrats on the 1st tooth! :D Get them out of the way early!!

I'm re-arranging Elliot's 12 month jabs for next week, no way i'm taking him on his birthday poor thing. Need to get him weighed on thursday, see how he's doing...but he's getting so heavy i know he's ok lol!

We have a little bit of progress on the walking front, he's standing unaided more and more now and is trying to take steps only managing one or two for now but that's good! :o

He now loves to sit on your leg-and you lift it up, he giggles his head off when you do this! Like a ride for him.

We've got past the first three nights of no late-night feeds, so far he seems fine. Hasn't been starving when he gets up in the morning, today he was happily lying in his cot playing with his soft toys waiting for us :o

Although sorry if TMI but the past few days he's had mucky yucky nappies-hope its just a tooth coming and not him being ill. He seems ok in himself, just the usual chewing everything and dribbling.

Just wondering, do people go to bed at the same time as their OH?

I've been staying up with him to avoid a row, but I'm feeling really crap now so I'm going to have to find the bottle to say something I think :o

Hope you had this talk Becles! Sleep is a really insidious issue, it can influence our behaviour and personalities even, without always being aware of it. Suffering shortage when you don't have to must be fixed! :)

Do you think it's OK that she doesn't want feeding in the night any more or is she too young to go that long? I did try and feed her last night as I thought that might be why she was waking up so much, but she didn't want to know. She just wanted her dummy back.

I think after the youngest newborn stage, the rule is to do what they want, unless they are scarily losing weight over a period. It sounds fine :)

Would be interested to hear what you find, my vague recollection is that the chances of it happening plummet from around 6 months?

Still no increase on bottom action from fergie despite 3 days having doubled the lactulose dose :(

The next step after movicol would be a referral to paediatrician to see if part of his bowel is sluggish and not working.

Aww poor Fergie :( I'm sending him easy poop vibes for the rest of his life :)

Do you know why OH is worried? is there history in his family?
I know I'm pretty laid back about most things but it's never really entered my head OH always worries more about the boys when ill but I always put it down to being raised by a hypochondriac but maybe it's a man thing?
