What's a sling meet?! There's never any meet ups where i live boo hoo!!

    Hi Keely
I'm not 100% sure what one is but I think it's where you can try out different slings before you buy one and also get to chat to other mummies and daddies who use them.

I was thinking that too about nothing near where I live, but I just looked on Google maps and we're about 1hr 20mins from each other. Krystal and MFD are both Midlands too, so maybe we could have our own meet? You're all more West Mids than me but I'm happy to drive to you all.

Is there anyone from the midlands?

sorry to hark back to a previous question, but I'd really like others thoughts and I think only sami posted:p

What did people think was a good rate for granny having fergie per day? I was thinking £30. Too much? Too little?

    Would appreciate any suggestions :)

    Hi weezl,
Sorry I didn't respond to you the other day. Personally I think £30 is about right. I'm going to offer that to my mum as she's going to look after Caitlin one day a week when I go back to work. I don't know if she's expecting money or not but I'll definitely offer it. She'll be driving 20mins to my house to look after her so I need to take petrol costs into consideration too. Nursery (where Caitlin will be going the other 2 days a week) will be about £40 per day.

    Ahh! :)

Yes-that would be great to arrange a meet :o Krystal and MFD have actually asked if I want to meet them in Walsall friday, probably too late to ask you now, but I hope we can arrange another date for more of us to meet up.

Oh, unfortunately we are already busy on Friday, but otherwise I'd have loved to come. I'm definitely up for another time though.

    morning all,

Thanks for all the thoughts on the granny fee, very much appreciated :)

DH and I pondered it and still feel the £30 is about right, cos we'd feel bad asking for it to be done a particular way if it was for a favour. She will also have quite a way to travel (although fairly cheap on her railcard) so it seems right for it not to be for free.

Still no increase on bottom action from fergie despite 3 days having doubled the lactulose dose :(

The next step after movicol would be a referral to paediatrician to see if part of his bowel is sluggish and not working.

I need to do some research about SIDS today. DH doesn't sleep soundly because of his concern about it, I hadn't really realised :o.

    hope you all slept well,

Ladybird is Izzy any happier this morning?

Okay, I clicked the multi quote button on 2 messages but not sure how i retrieve them?

One wa elle, to sayi also made carrot muffins to use up remaining carrots from soup and i also made chocolate covered flap jacks...the were delicious!!

Tiggs. Rose was 4lb 4oz when she was born and i found even 3lb clothes were too big for her. She seemed to be in tiny clothes for ages, then all of a sudden hasnt stopped growing since. She was 12lb 13oz, 2 weeks ago at her 16 week injections! I too donated all her tiny baby clothes to the hospital.

Chopsticks, Rose is exactly the same. If she manages to go to bed without a dummy, she doesnt seem to wake and want one at all, all night. If she goes to bed with a dummy, she wakes and needs it put back in, sometimes quite a few times, like last night. She woke at 1am, 3am and 5am, all to have her dummy put back in. Rose also isnt fed at all during the night. Goes from 6pm to 6am with no feed x

Thank you. I bought a BabyBjorn last week but don't think that counts as a sling :o

Andrew was weighed last night, and has managed to put on three ounces in four days - so he's finally broken through my psychological barrier to reach 2lb 1oz :j :j :j :j
