Any ideas to reduce my text charges?
I'm on Vodafone Anytime 100 (100 xnet mins and 50 free texts), however i'm using about 200 texts at the moment. I've got 12 months left on my contract and Vodafone wont move me to their Anytime 125 tariff @ £20 a month which includes 250 texts, because 'that deal is for new customers only'!
They said i can buy a bundle of 100 texts for £6, but this would REPLACE my 50 free texts, and not go on top of them!
Any suggestions?

get another sim/contract... PAYG or T-mobile flex.. use it alongside your Vodafone.. keep two mobiles with you or get a dual-sim-card (holder).. google for more info on the dual-sims0

I knew someone would say it :P0 -
Well, currently you use 200 which is 150 extra, which is £18 AFAIK. So if they'd do a 200 text bundle for £12, even if they did rip you off of your 50 free, you'd save £6!Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0

i had that problem so used a genie sim card giving me 300 free text a month for a tenner, had two phones all the time. just moved to tmobile flext which is great.
move onto lowest tariff on vodafone and get flext lol.
or write to vodafone as far as i know all companies are doing as much as they can to keep customers so if u phone head office or email them i'm sure they will help u out0 -
get an O2 sim card that offers 300 free texts for a tenner topup per month and then get a double sim card thingy for your phone.0

also, if you register online with O2 they give you 10 free texts per month and you can regisater as many times as you like as long as you use a different name each time.0

It's probably not much help to you, but virgin mobile are giving their customers 1000 free texts per month, for the next 5 months.it's only for texting other virgin mobile users. which most of my friends and family are, so it's saving me a fortune.0
