Best time to sell now, with summer on the way, people will pay silly money. Stick it on Autotrader for £11-12K then.Happy chappy0

I think it will be worth more than 11-12k
If there are only 8 made then its more than just your bulk standard limited edition where they can make 2000+
I would call up a couple of ford dealers and see what they say. Dont rush into putting it on auto trader.
You never know a ford dealer might pay good money for it cos they want it on there forecourt. BUt i would get a rough price of a dealer and then see what ebay can do. You could put a reserve on it of 11-12k and then see if it goes for more.
You would be likely to get more on ebay as you are advertising to the whole world not just locally with a dealer, or for people who look on autotrader.0 -

Thanks - good advice I reckon. I think the first thing (assuming Kitkash don't give me a value) is to ring the local Ford dealership - after that you might be right about the e-bay route. But I've never sold anything on there for more than a few quid - is it safe? I've seen others put cars on "for collection only" so obviously you can then get face to face with the purchaser, but for that kind of money I don't suppose cash would be exchanged!pondie1 wrote:well done,i was no where near on my bid, when do they say you will get it?
Don't know yet - I'm sat here on tenterhooks (well, I'm not really cos I'm not sure what they are, but they definately sound painful!) - they said I was to check my contact details within 24 hours of receiving my notification e-mail, which I have, but I don't know if someone is going to ring me, or if they e-mail or send something in the post
I'm hoping it will be today thoughI'll let you all know when it happens

Huge CONGRATULATIONS Stumpy:T :T :T :T :T :T :T
Couldn't have gone to a more deserving Lady;)
Karma for all the Argos bargains you have helped me and countless others bag over the years, what goes around comes around:T
Well done again, you deserve it, sell it to a collector, they will pay top dollar for such a rare collectible car:beer:I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
well like it says on that autoexpress site....
"The rather garish colour of Ford's pink Streetka might not appeal to everyone, but it still has its fans.
Although not officially available to buy, the blue oval did put one up for a charity auction. The selling price? An incredible £30,000 - making it the most expensive Streetka on the road. And the buyer? Well, far be it from us to suggest a pink Streetka is a stereotypical hairdresser's car, but the new owner is a well known celebrity crimper"
So maybe if you advertise it enough???

Thanks guys - just tracking down those collectors is the problem!! One of my relatives knows someone (?!!) big in the "Pink Lady" company/brand - the apples that is - thought they may be interested! We'll have to see - you can't fit many crates of apples in the back of a StreetKa!
I saw the auction thing - don't expect to get anywhere near, to be honest - that was a charity do with lots of bigwigs and celebrities.
Still no call or anything - I'm starting to get a bit twitchy!!0 -
I've always wondered what happens if you win a car? Do they deliver it to you or do you have to drive it home? Do you have to tax it straight away? I've always refrained from entering car comps coz of this.
Congratulations by the way.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
