It's been really soul destroying getting e-mails from the National Lottery to "check my account for good news",
I won £10 on the lotto on wednesday on-line but still haven't got a e-mail confirming this, are they normally that slow at telling you?

Normally, if she (or I - fat chance!) won one day, we'd get an e-mail the next working day - might be worth looking at your account on the lottery site though. My sister reckons there was an option when she signed up where she only got notified of "big" wins. No idea what is classed as a "big" win, and I don't recall seeing that option, but possibly it was something introduced after I registered?

It wasn't only kitkats this time - there are various things that have the points on, including Aeros, Fruit Pastilles, Lion Bars, Rolos (yum!) and Toffee Crisps.

Now if anyone has any suggestions on how to dispose of a pink two seater Ford Ka, please let me know!!

Congratulations Stumpy. :) My Mum always used to say what goes around comes around and going on the work you did on the Argos thread, and the help you gave other members, me included.....then it's time it came around for you.

Eh.....was that last question a serious one btw? Donate it to me.....it's something you never had anyway. :rotfl:

Thanks - I always reckoned my good luck was being stored in a bucket somewhere for a decent win to arrive - of course there's no way I'm going to win anything else ever again now, all my good luck is used up!

I may have worded that slightly wrong  I was thinking more along the lines of selling it for oodles of cash so I can pay the nice credit card people off! :money:

What about phoning local Ford dealers when you've got the Ka, to see how much they'd give you for it? Or I'll swap you it for a lovely yellow-green Corsa :D

Might just do that - thanks (when are we getting the thanks button back?!) - the phoning of Ford dealers that is, not the swapping for a "crunchy banana" coloured Corsa! ;)

Sell it via Autotrader. Don't be too greedy, price at roughly at what a new one would cost at the dealer, minus a bit.

Then again, you could call your local paper and see if you could get some story about it - free advertising. Bear in mind that people don't generally like paying full price when they know that the seller has won the car for almost nothing. So the newspaper route might not be such a good idea.

:T :T Congratulations Stumpy! How fabulous for you - I bet you couldn't quite believe it at first! It's so good to hear an MSEr has won big. Hope you get more than enough to clear the cards, then you can treat yourself as well! Well done!
And if I really were an angel, I'd float over your bed
Each night a different dream of me I'd plant inside your head
And if I were an angel, I tell you what I'd do
I'd appear in a vision and I'd give my wings to you
