I've just about settled down now. Now I'm just concerned that either (a) she doesn't pay up, or (b) the car spontaneously combusts before she does!! Not that I'm pessamistic or anything! :rolleyes::D

Update - it's getting complicated! Originally, she was going to transfer the money Monday by bank transfer and, once it cleared into my account, we were going to arrange for her to pick it up. Anyway, she sent me a message this morning to say that she had the money this morning and was just about to transfer it using the same day transfer system.

A couple of hours later she sent me another message saying she'd changed her mind and wanted to come see the car, then do a bank transfer, and then take it all on the same day (ie, tomorrow!).

Which is fair enough, and all well and good, apart from:

- It's Saturday - banks tend to either not open at all, or only open until 1pm.
- A bank transfer to a different bank, even if she pays the fee, on a weekday, takes several hours to go through - on a Saturday I'm not convinced it would even happen at all.

So the other option I had was to trust my dad :eek: and use his bank account, which happens to be the same as hers. Then it would happen straight away and she could even do it via the internet. But he's off golfing tomorrow and won't be getting home until 2.30 at the earliest so it means either hanging around until then, or breaking into his house, nicking his password, etc, and logging onto his computer to see if it has gone through (with his permission, of course )

And the other problems - I don't have her phone number or address (just her name, apparently, and the fact that she's from Manchester), I have her e-mail address, hotmail, which she doesn't seem to check for hours on end. I sent her a message 3 hours ago, but have not had a reply yet.

I need a nice glass of cold white wine and some paracetamol! (not necessarily in that order or together - I'll leave a 2 second gap between )

Don't do anything with the car until you can see that money in either your bank account or your Dad's.

I use bacs for paying myself, same bank, same branch as the company so its there within seconds but to be perfectly honest Stumpy I would stand back from this meantime and I don't think I would be doing anything on a Saturday in view of the banks being closed.

Yes, you should have her name, address and phone number if you are to be expected to have someone to your home for pick up of the car. I wonder if she thinks she might back out once she sees the car?

If I remember correctly the buyer is fairly knew to Ebay? Shouldn't make any difference but...

I really, really hope I'm wrong about this but personally I would wait until Monday and say that Saturday doesn't suit you and have a think about it meantime.

Possibly the best idea, don't rush into anything that might cause problems, is she really wants the car she will wait. she will be really excited, lets face it, its not something that she can just buy from somewhere else is it? it is a one off.
