We stayed there at the end of last year and couldn't fault it. We had a room at the back and I would imagine that would be preferable if you can get one when you check in as it is on a main road. Easily accessable on the tube/bus, a great base. Spotlessly clean and all the staff were friendly

From the tripadvisor reviews, the description of how far it is from the tube seems to vary between 2 minutes and 20 minutes.

Is it straightforward enough if youre lugging a suitcase?

I generally find this web site a great place to start when looking for any hotels. It searches the likes of laterooms and bookings in a screenscraper fashion. I then take a look here to see whether there are any decent bargains floating about, before following Obukit's Holiday Inn thread.
