The email I got saidSellers with less than 400 eBay transactions will need to keep their total DSRs of 1 and 2 below the Minimum Standard.
Am I right in thinking this only applies if your feedback is under 400? If that's the case I'm going to only use my main account which is over that figure.:j30/7/10:j

As far as I know it has nothing to do with overall feedback..0 -

As with all past changes I'll guage it for my business over a period and see if its worth making any changes on or off Ebay. I had my account manager call today asking if he could help or explain anything, its more a case of suck it and see than explaining beforehand. I'm more interested in my profits and sales figures than numbers and stars.
I've got changes planned for the next twelve months anyway, if Ebay fit in with them then fine. I use Ebay because it fits my business not because its the only option..0 -
Better not to get feedback at all really.
You may have a point actually, brings a whole new dimension to the feedback threads in future!
I have been going on and on about this for ages now, see cyberBob I told you I wasn't paranoid. :rotfl:.it's just that no one looked past their headline feedback and hadn't realised that it was the underlying figures that mattered.
Im lucky at the moment that none of my accounts have any 1 or 2 *, but all the main ones have had them in the past.
My usual cut and paste follows:
Also keep an eye on your expanded seller dashboard that will identify if you have any 1 or 2 * left in any category, but be warned it can make worrying reading.
Go into my ebay > hover your mouse over the account tab at top > click on seller dashboard > scroll down page until you find Buyer satisfaction >click on See how eBay calculates your rating.and that shows if anyone has left a 1 or 2 * in last 30 days. It only updates every couple of days though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. For the last few years now Ebay have slowly been trying to force out smaller sellers. They have done all they can to drive the small/low cost items seller out. The way they treat their sellers is nothing short of criminal.
Like you I had a shop on Ebay for years but high fees and their ridiculous policies have made it impossible for me to sell.
A few weeks ago I went over to Ebid, and although it's a bit slower, it's 100 times better and well worth having a look at.0 -
Well, anyone else get the mail this morning ref how Ebay are going to make it easier for buyers to claim refunds ?
"On the 28th July, 2009 we informed you about the new faster and easier dispute resolution process on eBay. You can read the full announcement here.
Buyers will be able to resolve their problems on eBay through eBay Buyer Protection. We intend to make this process available to more and more buyers throughout 2009; although initially only a limited number of buyers will be able to use this process while we make sure it's working for everyone"
I used to be a Power Seller, but am listing less and less now thanks to the new rules. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Gosh I am so glad I read this. I used to sell quite a few bits and bobs on e-bay as I got rid of stuff but will now go elsewhere. The last lot of stuff I put up for sale I got marked lower down in the search list as I had had "negative feedback" - not that I could see and I was still on 100%
. The only thing I could see was that I was on the border re good -v- excellent for the star rating for the postage costs - although I always state that postage is exactly at cost..... I wondered why when I did go and have a nosey on e-bay the volume of traffic seems to have fallen..... to e-bid forthwith
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
