    Going the distance.
Much more enjoyable than I feared it would be. Thought it would be just another Chick-flick.
But, constant stream to humour - the room-mate, the brother in law eating his meal in the dark.....
Those who have seen the movie should know what I mean;)
Gentle, nothing too challenging, but many many moments when whole cinema erupted into loud guffaws of laughter or shrieks of horror... so I was not the only one who had a thoroughly enjoyable night.
Screening started at 8.30, and was 95% full...... but still had a stream of late-comers.
Those 'returning' to their seats with refreshments was one thing, those trying to find seats 15 mins after it had started was another:cool:

After a long dry spell without any previews this is my first of 3 lined up for the next few weeks, so many many thanks again to all the considerate souls who take the time and effort to let us know the codes.:T
    Long may free previews continue:j

These are not really free, read the terms and conditions (t&c) you must pay £5 per each free ticket

Which tickets are you talking about?

This email arrived a short while ago. It's possible that other dates may be rescheduled so keep an eye out for any more notifications.

Please note that due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to cancel the preview on Monday 23rd August.

The film is now opening on 10th September in the UK so we have rearranged this preview for 6th September at same time and location as you have tickets for.

Your ticket is still valid for the 6th September and the reminder email sent to you 24 hours before the screening will produce the ticket with the correct time/date.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you have any queries at all please email Luke at Help@showfilmfirst.com.

Went to the Cardiff showing last night of Going The Distance.

Cinema was only about 60% full which was a bit suprising, but then again 6.30pm isn't the easiest time for people to make after work (I pretty much came straight from work via home)

The film itself was actually a lot better than I expected. Justin and Drew really worked (which I wasn't expecting) and both Justin's friends and Drew's sister and her husband were brilliant. There were a few laugh out loud moments and I thought it was nice to see something a bit more willing to push some boundaries than the average rom-com. My girlfriend loved it too so all-in-all a film well worth going to see!
  • scott pilgrim last night! Not my normal type of film, in fact it was quite unique in my opinion however I loved it. Whether it was because I wasnt expecting much, I dont know but yep, I think worth a watch.

Watched Scott Pilgrim last night @ West India Quay. As the film was about to start I saw the screen was half full. Then when the film started the other half of the audience came & ruined the first couple of minutes of the film while they were looking for seats in the dark. I can understand one or two people coming in late, but about 50!? (okay maybe exagerating a little - but still a 'crowd' of people).

Anyway the film certainly was different, and I think it is more a film for the guys who remember their ZX Spectrum/Commodore 64/NES or Master System days, as well as games like Street Fighter & Mortal Kombat. But there was also plenty for the girls to enjoy to - I did hear alot of girls talking about how they enjoyed the film while leaving the cinema.

Definately an enjoyable film that I would recomend. Maybe one for a 3D reboot?

Scott Pilgrim was probably (for me) the best film of the year (although strong competition from Inception & Toy Story 3) so far.

As always with Edgar Wright every little detail was superb from sound effects, music, editing to well everything.

Did anyone else get a free SP Vs TW beanie on arrival? Possibly the first time I've got a freebie that wasn't food or drink at a screening

Off to see it again on Thursday with free booze n' cheese. Hoo-and indeed-Rah!!!

I was actually wondering where the massive group of people came from! It was pretty annoying, though. And people were still arriving about 15mins into the film

I loved the film, def one of my favorites!

The film was quite fresh - althow I was sat right at the front and so my neck took a bashing.

Agree so many late comers - it was very distracting!

My favourite screening so far still stays with Inception, whilst OH preferred An Education and Last Station
