Poochface - maybe you just got bored with sitting around after a day in hospital? I went to see Funny People after an op, and found is so unbearably tedious (altho I have a feeling it was rather tedious to begin with)
You could well be right but to be honest, when the first code posted didn't include a preview for Liverpool I wasn't overly disappointed but once we got a preview I went along with an open mind as I do with all the previews. Not everyone can like every film preview they see and I enjoy far more than I don't like. And there's always some saddo that provides the balance to the good reviews. I'm the saddo in this instance!:rotfl:
Actually, the film you mention and I call (un)Funny People wasn't for me either. People were laughing hysterically all around me from the very start of that film, so much so that I ended up looking all round in case people could see something I couldn't!:( I honestly thought that Candid Camera had been revived!!:eek:0 -
I found A-team good fun escapism
The main actors all kept true to the characters from the original, while making the roles their own & had plenty of action & comedy to keep you entertained. I can see why people may be dissapointed though, but I found it enjoyable:cool:
One thing that did annoy me though, I got to the cinema about 20 mins late (problems with public transport) but the kind lady was good enough to let us in. Obviously the screen was almost full, so me & my mate were trying to find 2 seats close to the aisle. When we found 2 we sat down, but the guy next to my mates seat then told us, that seat was reserved for someone who was just coming back.
My mate then insisted I stay seated & he would find a seat. The thing is my mate has a debilitating illness & finds it difficult to walk, let alone go up & down steps looking for a seat. Halfway through the film, I noticed that no-one had come, and he just wanted the seat to place his jacket on! I debated for about 10 mins wether to have a go at him, but decided there was no point - it would ruin the movie for me & I had no idea where my mate was then.
So if that guy comes on this site - Shame on you for your disgusting, selfish behaviour.
Jeez! We all like the ideal seating don't we? I want empty seats either side of me, nobody in front or even better I sit with the stairs in front of me and I much prefer to sit on the back row! But some people are really very selfish and totally uncaring. Even if somebody is able-bodied, in those circumstances you have to give up the seat!
I too have mobility problems and considering I generally have to walk up a zillion steps to get to the back row, I really don't need somebody coming downstairs expecting me to get out of their way, when I really need to hang on to the rail! I could go on but I won't but you and your friend have my sympathies.:(0 -

I'm very surprised that no1monkey hasn't pulled you up on this as it seems to be their particular pet hate.0 -

Hey guys,
Please excuse me here, I may sound silly, and I'm probably am.
I got 2 tickets for Step Up 3D at Milton Keynes on the 5th Aug. This is the first time I've actually got the tickets and been able to go. (I got 2 for Hot Tub Time Machine, but wasn't able to go in the end).
I just get worried incase they refuse me because it's not an official ticket. I was the same when I booked a flight and printed off my bording ticket online.
I was just wondering if anyone has had any trouble at Milton Keynes. I understand everything should be OK, as MK seems to be one of the cinemas that come up ALOT.
2ndly, Will I need to take any ID with me, to prove that I am who I am on the ticket?
and last of all, Will I need to pay for the 3D Glasses seeing as it's a free preview?
Any advice that will help me, have a trouble free trip would be much appreciated.0 -
