Another question about Momentum screenings, does it matter if you dont get a confirmation email? I printed out the tickets but didnt get a email  Not been to one of these screenings before so dont know if i needed to bring both or not? x
  • No. Tickets are tickets. Confirmation email is courtesy & to give you the opportunity to reprint your tickets should you not get them the first time.

i was at Thurrock lunchtime show of Harry Brown& yes one of the busiest I have been to. what a film- went with DD B/f as DD is a bit squeemish but think she could have seen it, thought it was a perfectly constructed film from the shock start , through the sadness of Harry's experience & then down to the gritty business some bits made me feel repulsed etc it was fab & i would pay to see it again- son-in law has bought the soundtrack. michael Caine was outstanding & certainly I think the only actor who could have pulled this off- what a film!!!

Saw this tonight at Lee Valley and thought it was the worst film I've seen in ages. Seriously considered walking out after about 30 minutes but felt I ought to see it to the bitter end so I could give honest feedback. It was utter rubbish to the last frame and I regret staying. The plot was completely unbelievable with cartoon characters instead of real acting. If people want to see lots of explosions then fine, but don't pretend there's a story to be told, just watch a show called Explosions or something. I fancied seeing it because Jamie Foxx is a good actor, but I'll be very wary of seeing his films from now on because of this turkey.
In contrast I thought Harry Brown was fantastic and agree with posts above that it's going to be a classic. Fantastic actors - including all the hoodies - and the violence was truly shocking because it was central to a completely credible story.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I'm going to see LAC next week. I will compare what I think after I've seen it.

i went to see Law Abiding Citizen the O2 last night. they were checking id's against names on emails. this was the first time i'd seen this happen at a momentum screening.
  • Watched Law Abiding Citizen.

Yes, I had to completely suspend my disbelief, but yet somehow I managed to enjoy this movie.

Fast-paced and, at times, humorous (with bare-faced cheeks and all), this action-based flick will entertain you, if you let it. This can be achieved by switching off all logical thought processes. That way, you'll be able to follow the non-logical plot.

Law Abiding Citizen - completely stupid and cliched but the longer it is since I've seen the film, the better I think it was!

Did anyone go to a preview of The First Day of the Rest of Your Life? I thought it was a wonderful film, brilliantly acted and a great, if simple, storyline. And - Pio Marmaï who played Albert? Hubba :D
