I agree. I wasn't really expecting much with this film, but was pleasantly surprised. Some really good laugh out loud moments, and the acting was really believable. Didn't recognise any of the cast though - are they new actors? My cinema was only half full as well (only about 20% full 5 minutes into the film!). It always worries me when there are a lot of empty seats - I think they may take our priviliges away:eek:0 -
Just back from seeing 'Death at a Funeral' was excellent, first time in cinema
since we had children 21 years+ lol. found some for ds2 now0 -
I just got back from seeing death at a funeral...I wasn't expecting much as Rotten Toamtoes only giving it 40%ish at the moment. But i thought it was hilarious....(maybe because I work in a hospital and I have that weird, twisted sense of humour only hospital staff can possess!).
Pretty annoyed that the film was less than half full...many times I've been told a screening has "no tickets left" ...I wish there was a way of tracking no-showers by their e-mail address and allowing them a '2 strikes and you're out' type situation. :mad:0 -
cant really saty 'death at a funeral' was that good, defs watchable tho with some funny moments, epsecially the roof incident, good ending tho0

our death at a funeral showing was almost full.
Couple of people walked out not long after it started. It thought it pretty poor to be honest despite what should have been a fantastic cast.
Couple of laugh out loud moments but thats about it. Wouldnt rush to see it again!DFW 228 LONG H 68

I saw "Death at a funeral" in a very busy screening last night. I had not read anything about it in advance so I was surprised to see that I had seen the film before. OK, not the American version but the British version 3 years ago which I found amusing enough.
This meant that I knew everything that was happening because they have not changed much and I still found the guy on the roof very funny indeed. All in all I think I preferred the original version myself.0 -
Thanks to all contributors first off!
My question is about first4movies - i can no longer make a screening but my cousin can with her friend. do they ask for ID when collecting tickets or should a print out and bar code/number suffice.
thanks0 -
I didn't really enjoy Death at a Funeral. Our showing was quite busy but the film wasn't very good. We were late getting into the screening as the film shown on the screen before us only finished ~6.35. The film itself really wasn't very funny at all - we gave up and walked out after ~40 minutes as life is too short to spend it watching something so bad.
That said there were people cackling with laughter at points that I just found really stupid and UNfunny so maybe some people will like it. I hated the Hangover too and I suspect people who loved that will like this too...Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

I saw Death at a Funeral last night and didn't enjoy it that much. There were moments of pure slapstick comedy that was very funny, but the plotline was very poor and there were bits that just didn't add up.
Did anyone else feel as frustrated as the Vicar in it that they didnt' just get on with the funeral? lolProfessional Photographer with a love of bargain hunting.. Been a moneysavingexpert since 2006 :-D
