Free Cinema Tickets - Discussion thread

grrr was hoping this monday's screening of Hot Tub Time Machine being cancelled due to Volcanic disruptions was some sort of weird hoax but it's on here and appears genuine and now all the replacement tickets have gone.

I'm confused. If a few screenings are cancelled because of problems with the delivery of the prviews, then why aren't all screenings affected? Surely all the tapes will be sent out from the one place?

Some cinemas use prints and some are digital, digital gets downloaded prints have to be physically sent to the cinema hence the cancellations in cinemas still using prints.

I rang Liverpool Cineworld about screening on Monday. Only cinemas that can show digital movies will be going ahead. Luckily Liverpool Cineworld can so it is going ahead. I would check with your cinema to make sure it is going ahead as some previews are NOT going ahead and it is because of delays in flights caused by the volcanic ash.

No my friend won in Birmingham. I was told last week that an MP3 player would be up for grabs in Liverpool 'cos we joked about me winning it LOL

I'm gonna ring again on Monday just to be on safe side. I'll post on here to let you know that it's going ahead or not. If not, then I'll have to rearrange my plans and go to the Wednesday screening at the Odeon.
