Why oh Why do people persist in going to screenings without ID?

Couple turned away yesterday at Norwich screening of Date Night as they were checking ID:(

I have subscribed to the thread for codes to send out updates as soon as a post is made so why is it it is touch and go if I get an email? (And nothing in spam either). Very frustrating to constantly miss out on previews :(

I've got two tickets for the cineworld screening on Monday 26th 6.30pm.

Got them for me and the girlfriend but she's just told me she's working late next week. Anyone got two they want to swap for the Wednesday Odeon screening?

By any chance do you check in using a phone or another computer where you aren't logged in to the site? I read a message posted in the early hours on this thread on my phone this morning and was surprised to see so many other messages i hadn't been emailed about. Then realised it's because I wasn't logged in originally. I know I've done the same for the code thread.

I have never yet been asked for ID and have gone to about 10 screenings this year alone - I guess we get complacent

    Date Night....

Sorry, for some reason this did not do it for me.
Having read all the glowing reviews on here I was ready for a side-splitting evening.
Yes it was funny, but not THAT funny.

I don't know if there was a problem with our screening ( only about a third full btw) but I could not hear/follow a lot of the dialigue..... and before someone suggests The Old Bag gets her ears checked, my dd who was with me thought it needed sub-titles!!
Very slap-stick, but for me it crossed the line into simply daft.
Story-line could have been a lot sharper, but an enjoyable free evening out anyway.

    Funny but not hilarious.

I didn't find it as funny as many on here seemed to; as you said funny but not hilarious. But humour is a very personal thing. I remember seeing
(un)Funny People and whilst all around me were wetting themselves laughing I barely raised a smile twice I think. Back to Date night, the working relationship between Tina Fey and Steve Carell, however, did impress me. I thought they worked so well together, very believable as a married couple. Not sure if they have worked together before (maybe in Saturday Night Live) but I would definitely like to see them on screen again in the future.

Today I went to see The Ghost and except for a few minor nit picks, I found it thought-provoking and really enjoyed it. Some excellent lines in it.
