Congratulations Poochface.... it's all that good karma returning to you
.
I'm surprised that nobody seems to have mentioned going to see this last night, I almost didn't make it to the cinema as I hadn't been too well but decided to make myself go and I'm very glad I did. I was convinced that I had seen this film but I must be getting it confused with something else entirely as none of it seemed familiar.
I got there shortly before 6pm only to be told we had to wait a little while before we could go up. When we got to the screen, we had a short gold carpet to walk along and we were given a gold ticket and told that we could check our numbers inside. Once inside the young lady who met us told us that there was a problem with the safe. It kept locking out after a few wrong numbers were entered, similar to when an atm machine locks you out if you get your pin number wrong a certain amount of times. The staff told us to take our seats and they persevered with each of our tickets in turn, mine was the last tried and at the same time one of the staff told us that someone in our screening would definitely win a prize and that we would all be given a second ticket, I received the last ticket only to see that I had the winning number when the number was read out. I was stunned, I walked back down to the safe and sure enough my number opened it. I made it clear that I couldn't go on a holiday because of my health problems so it turned out that I had won a gold plated cyber shot camera worth £600. :j After having my photo taken a zillion times and claiming my prize officially, I went back inside to watch the film and eat my free Magnum Gold, which was delicious.
The film is excellent and for those of you who have tickets to see if next Thursday, please go, you won't regret it. Sadly our screening was sparsely
attended and the lovely Magnum promotional staff were disappointed. I really did enjoy the film, so much so that I intend to go again next week, hey maybe I'll win another prizeOn our way out, we were all given another Magnum Gold plus a voucher for 50p off a purchase of the new Magnum Gold. I ate my second ice cream on the way home but I was beginning to wilt part way through as it is very rich. One as a treat is fine but I could never eat two in a few hours of each other again. Nobody could ever moan about getting your money's worth with a Magnum, not like some confectionary etc that seems to get smaller but dearer year by year whilst the good old Magnum is still the same size it ever was.
All in all, I had an excellent day yesterday as I also received my cheques from kgb. My friend suggested I buy a Lottery ticket. It's amazing what a bit of good luck does for a person, today was the first day all week that I've felt well, mind you the lovely sunny warm weather helps too.

The Usual Suspects is a great film and the new Magnum's are lush, so why not nab yourselves some tickets. Unless you want to watch the Liverpool game, you can always catch up with anything else on the tele.;) Maybe next time your name will appear on the winners list.
Walled City Womble Did you manage to get tickets to Hot Tub Time Machine at the Odeon Liverpool ONE? If so and you see me, please say 'Hi'. It's nice to meet up with regulars.:)
